I remember not being able to attend a family member’s funeral because I would have been “mourner #12” – two more people than “allowed by the CDC”.
I remember not being able to visit my sister in a nursing home “out of an abundance of caution”.
I remember not being able to see my grandchildren because the medical community said visiting us might infect us with Covid.
I remember churches being locked, schools closed, my grandchildren attending virtual “school”, lining up at the grocery store at dawn for “senior shopping hours”.
And I remember being told. ‘Two weeks to flatten the curve”.
I sincerely hope everyone involved remembers me saying, “FUCK YOU!”
