82 Years Is A Long Time

The Washington Redskins have been in existence for 82 years. For about 80 of those years, virtually no one, including the vast majority of American Indians, was troubled by the name. Yet it is now of such importance to the American Left that the majority leader of the United States Senate has repeatedly demanded, from the floor of the Senate, that the team drop its name; 50 U.S. senators, all of them Democrats, have signed an open letter demanding the same; Sports Illustrated‘s Peter King no longer uses the name; other leading sportswriters have adopted the same practice; and the president of the United States has weighed in on the issue.

  1. The Dems and RINOs in the Senate, led (probably by the nose) by Dirty Harry Reid, are using this Redskins non-issue as another of their attempts to distract the country from their corrupt actions. The Redskins team name is offensive to those few who are offended about weather changes, things they can do absolutely nothing about. Except to whine and bitch until some fathead in Congress, like Dirty Harry Reid and/or Pinocchio Pelosi decide they are offended too and start with the legalistic bullshit that they are famous (or infamous) for.

I read not too long ago that the “Redskins” team name was offered up by a Blackfeet tribal member is some sort of contest to name the team, way back when. I don’t know if that is true or not – I wasn’t around back then. But if it is true, then Dirty Harry is wrong again – – – as per usual. As he is by his own self-imposed nemeses, the Koch Brothers. And that, I firmly believe, is because the Koch Brothers are infinitely more successful that Dirty Harry could ever be. And he can’t stand that.
