I have boots on the ground regarding Ireland’s minumum wage, which is 8 Euro 65 cent per hour. That equates to $11.76.
There happens to be mucho people collecting the dole (infinate unemployment insurance, which is laughingly called: Job-seeker’s allowance) 188 Euro ($ 256 per week) and working part time for $6 per hour “under the table”.
It doesn’t sound like a lot but the government pays (cash-in-hand) 130 Euro ($ 177) for each kid under 16 to the mother. She doesn’t have to be married either.
They also get free “universal healthcare” like ObamaCare is going to turn out.
Toejam – We both know that the socialist systems being put in place in the U.S. is not good for the country. With so much data that can be compared with other countries failures it is surprising that politicians are still pushing the agendas.
I really don’t think it has anything to do with helping Americans, but rather lining their own pockets. Sad thing is, once a government program begins, there is no sunset to get out of the laws. They stay in place until it can no longer be sustained financially….which is exactly the point. At some point you will run out of money.
