time to look at AR pistols for the truck.
You can get them from PSA and Anderson for $450 to $550. In 5.56, get nothing smaller than 10.5″ barrel, 11.5 ” is better but 12.5″ is way better, because of powder burn fares and significantly better velocity. In 7.62×39 you can go down to 7″ to 9″, same with 300 Blackout. Of course you could go with a pistol caliber, but for me, that’s what Glock, Slg, Springfield Armory, H&K, etc. is for.

already built a 9mm pistol with a 10.5 . handy.
anyway, going to build a 5.56 one next.
I like 20 round magazines for the 5.56 in the truck
but keep a bag or 6, 30 rounders in there as well.
those bug out bags by midway are handy to use.
I keep one with every weapon. loaded with magazines and a blow out kits, water bottle and some snacks- just in case like.
