its actually safe. it dissipates in the air. in the water, not so much. it takes 12 years to reach half-life in ground water. they did the best thing they could. national guard civil defense teams have been in and surveyed the area w/ technical equipment, declared it safe. those teams are full time responders. lots of hysteria, little evidence.
