The Collective – Not Your Fathers America
Obama used the word “collective” in both of his inauguration speeches. Such a strange word to drop when number one, he surely knows it’s connotation, and two, he could have used a number of terms for the purpose of his speech. So why?
Obama 2009 Inauguration Speech – “Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age.”
Obama 2012 Inauguration Speech – “But we have always understood that when times change, so must we; that fidelity to our founding principles requires new responses to new challenges; that preserving our individual freedoms ultimately requires collective action.
Saul Alinsky– 2 Collective Action for Social Change_Community organizing creates durable institutions and builds localleadership, giving otherwise fractured communities a unified voice and the collective power necessary to resist oppression.
Karl Marx – The Karl Marx Collective: Economy, Society and Religion in a Siberian Collective Farm.
Joseph Stalin – Stalin’s desire to modernise agriculture led him to collectivise the farms, amalgamating them and putting them totally under state control.
Collectivism means the subjugation of the individual to a group—whether to a race, class or state does not matter. Collectivism holds that man must be chained to collective action and collective thought for the sake of what is called “the common good.”
“The Only Path to Tomorrow,” Reader’s Digest, Jan, 1944, 8.
Collectivism holds that the individual has no rights, that his life and work belong to the group . . . and that the group may sacrifice him at its own whim to its own interests. The only way to implement a doctrine of that kind is by means of brute force—and statism has always been the political corollary of collectivism.
Ayn Rand The Virtue of Selfishness, 128
The political philosophy of collectivism is based on a view of man as a congenital incompetent, a helpless, mindless creature who must be fooled and ruled by a special elite with some unspecified claim to superior wisdom and a lust for power.

Valerie Jarrets opinion of Brack Obama:
White House senior adviser and longtime Obama friend Valerie Jarrett: “I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary. He knows exactly how smart he is. … He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability — the extraordinary, uncanny ability — to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually. … So what I sensed in him was not just a restless spirit but somebody with such extraordinary talents that had to be really taxed in order for him to be happy. … He’s been bored to death his whole life. He’s just too talented to do what ordinary people do.”
Any questions????
