Eddie Van Halen Dead at 65
Major bummer, my formative years in the 70’s would not have been the same without Van Halen.
His death was announced by his son, Wolf Van Halen, on Twitter.
“I can’t believe I’m having to write this,” the statement said, “but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning. He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift.”

Bummer; now I feel old as he’ll. My only grievance with him was Valerie Bertenelli. No she never met me, and is a couple of years older than me, but I still was a little jealous.
He will be missed.
Never was a Van Halen fan, but I did respect them. RIP Eddie.
H and Stevie Ray are jamming up in Heaven.
i was a van hagar fan, roth was always a turn off for me but eddie was always great. i looked up guitarist rankings and he is considered on of the top ten of all time, maybe top 5.
heard on the radio that apparently the song he did with micheal jackson, he showed up to do the guitar bit, did it with no rehearsal and left right after and its still famous.
