Dr. Anthony Fauci, whose “expert” advice to President Trump has resulted in the complete shutdown of the greatest economic engine in world history, has known since 2005 that chloroquine is an effective inhibitor of coronaviruses.
How did he know this? Because of research done by the National Institutes of Health, of which he is the director. In connection with the SARS outbreak – caused by a coronavirus dubbed SARS- CoV – the NIH researched chloroquine and concluded that it was effective at stopping the SARS coronavirus in its tracks. The COVID-19 bug is likewise a coronavirus, labeled SARS-CoV-2. While not exactly the same virus as SARS-CoV-1, it is genetically related to it, and shares 79% of its genome, as the name SARS-CoV-2 implies. They both use the same host cell receptor, which is what viruses use to gain entry to the cell and infect the victim.
This means, of course, that Dr. Fauci has known for 15 years that chloroquine and it’s even milder derivative hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) will not only treat a current case of coronavirus (“therapeutic”) but prevent future cases (“prophylactic”). So HCQ functions as both a cure and a vaccine. In other words, it’s a wonder drug for coronavirus. Said Dr. Fauci’s NIH in 2005, “concentrations of 10 μM completely abolished SARS-CoV infection.” Fauci’s researchers add, “chloroquine can effectively reduce the establishment of infection and spread of SARS-CoV.”
Dr. Didier Raoult, the Anthony Fauci of France, had such spectacular success using HCQ to treat victims of SARS-CoV-2 that he said way back on February 25 that “it’s game over” for coronavirus.

If, Heaven forbid, Trump is defeated in November, there will be new research that proves HCQ is a miracle drug after all.
Unless of course, the Democrats decide that since we bowed down so easily, that we will become Venezuela 2.0.
Fauci is financially attached to Gilead. Had pumped for them in the past and is still doing so. Why do you think he’s pushing Remdesivir (an Ebola drug) so hard? Money. It’s new so it’s patented and expensive. HQC is old, off patent, and cheap. No money/ kickbacks for the doctor.
Dry your panties, Chilluns. This is interesting but the 2005 paper was about an “in vitro” (in glass) experiment using cultured cells. Most “Fantastic” lab discoveries never make it to the real world for any number of reasons, including “Duh”.
This will be a good story, whatever. HCQ/CQ may have never gotten anywhere, since both were old drugs and probably off patent and “worthless” to the investors with cash to use on human trials. I read that nothing happened with Ebola since no one with cash gave a damn about some jungle disease that no country in Africa would pay for. Corona-MERS was a camel disease among those who trust in Allah and for which they were not going to “waste” good oil money. Side effects?
China has been producing horrendous diseases since forever, Corona variations, most recently. SARS, chicken Flue, “African Pig Ebola”. Something was going on in those rice paddies. The US and France funded some virus research in China but there may have been a “fix your own problems” with all your trade income, attitude. Then this latest “bug” got loose. The US has enough diseases to deal with without fixing all the bugs in China, Africa, and South America.
Then Boeing and Airbus changed the game. China lied until the crematoria smoke could be seen from orbit. Should’a, Would’a.

I am impressed that President Trump, who probably knows as much about “lights on” biology as the average high school student, saw the smoke over China and called a huddle. Now, quit yer bitching, and help clean up the economic and political mess. Those bodies are going to stink.
This “plague” didn’t just happen. It took decades of corruption and neglect. This happened since “they” were stuffing their wallets and “them others” were playing along to stuff theirs while “you” did nothing. Are “you” going to just sit there and whimper cuz they took your cookie?
