Ok not to nitpick but your picture of all the coal closures is out of date. That was the ‘worst’ case estimate. The official numbers as of last week is 72GW shutting down.
by worst case I mean what the EPA told congress was an unlikely outcome. The 72GW is what actually happened and 4.7GW is what the EPA said was the most likely level of shut down.
Appreciate the correction. The image was to make the point of Rand’s statement of needing permission to produce something from people who produce nothing. Image will be removed.
It’s still a good image its just that the situation is way worse than it shows. We are loosing in the next 10 years enough capacity to provide all the electrical needs of every state less texas west of the mississippi river.
It’s the waiting for the inevitable that really stinks.
We all know things will change for the worse but we do not know how much worse. it actually makes me jealous of the no nothings enjoying the oice and the csi of the day.
