Why Would Sailors Not Defend Themselves?

I don’t understand this at all. Two attack vessels loaded with enough firepower to decimate the dingys the Iranians showed up in, yet our people are forced to surrender. The boats were in the area for a reason, they were apparently told to go where they went, why would they not defend themselves? More Obama “rules of engagement”?

Is it just me or does something seem a bit sketchy here. Would Obama order these men into harms way for political gain in an attempt to prove the Iranians are reasonable in returning the sailors?   CYneIXIWwAMk1Ci  h/t weasel zippers for images.

  1. looks to me like they were unarmed. I saw a typical riverine boat in one photo with machineguns up the ying yang and the photos of them being detained on the boat they were on, has none.

Who took those photos? It looks totally staged to me. I smell a rat/obama.

  2. It’s not the first time sailors have been sent into danger while being unarmed. in 1976 the landing crafts that went into Beirut were instructed to be unarmed. The Navy has risked many lives because of shitty rules of engagement set by idiots in DC.
