Is The Navy That Helpless?

Two high end Riverine boats, 10 sailors, and no tow rope?

Depending on the mission, it can bristle with weapons from six different mounts. Wood said the boat on order has a remote-controlled weapon mount for a .50-caliber machine gun — or other weapon — on a mast behind the cockpit. It will also have a twin weapon mount on the bow that is controlled from the cockpit, as well as four mounts for crew-served weapons elsewhere on the boat. The mounts include electrical power supply to allow the use of mini-guns.

So we are to believe that two of these boats broke down at the same time? They couldn’t communicate with their command ship? No tow rope?

The ship has cabin space that can be configured to carry more than 20 troops or serve as a floating command post with extra communication gear.

Sorry, something is terribly wrong here.  I think this was done on purpose.

  1. Have the Iranian’s given the boats back as well. If not i’m going with staged to allow Obama to transfer two state of the art ships to iran.

  2. Kerry on tv today saying this might have turned out differently a few years ago, hmmmm.

if its true iran got them to surrender to much smaller boats and both boats weren’t working and there was no larger boat on the way because of no communication; something is real wrong.

better eat some salads, looks like Obama is going to spend 2016 blowing some up your ass and expecting you to believe something good is happening.

  3. I’m a 17.5 year veteran of the US Navy (901 days to go) and I’ll tell ya this stinks all the way to the top. I’ve boarded Iranian vessels in the past and have been on plenty of missions in the vicinity of their Navy and IRCG Navy and this smells like a pure political ploy, recklessly using the lives of my brothers and sisters to score points concerning the so called “warming” relations between us and them. The PTB have weakened a nation and this goes to prove they’ve done a good job of it!

    1. Phil – Number one, thanks for your service, number two, thanks for your input. I don’t have a military background but this seemed very strange to me. It just doesn’t make sense.

  4. Put yourself in the place of the Iranian command. You pick up two small US boats straying into your space. You must respond, of course. What do you do? Well, send a helicopter to scope out the situation. When they see the type of boats, you send out bigger boats with more firepower to chase them off or capture them. What you do not do is just send a bunch of track suited guys in decrepit armed bass boats to pull over heavily armed fast boats. The story will eventually come out and be totally ignored, of course, by the ass kissing media.

  5. “Sorry, something is terribly wrong here. I think this was done on purpose.” That was my hunch from the beginning. This is Benghazi lite. At Benghazi the plan was for the radical Muslims to capture our Ambassador and then graciously give him back, showing off Obama’s ability to negotiate peacefully with bad Muslims on the eve of his election. It went wrong when our CIA guys showed up and started mowing down their players. Things got out of hand and the Ambassador got whacked. This was the same plan. Our boats conk out, they capture our poor sailors and they graciously release them. Aren’t they nice?

  6. Scoop out this cesspool incident and I guarantee you’ll find Obama, Valerie Jarrett & the Muslim Brotherhood white house imbedded stooges at the bottom.
