Picking Sides

Picking Sides

Obviously LeBron James has chosen which side he is on, he’s not a commie, he’s just a spoiled infinitely wealthy uneducated athlete. That pretty much describes a majority of millionaire sports stars. They didn’t go to college to become anything other than a professional athlete, that was their major…full stop, and LeBron even skipped the whole college thing going directly to the NBA out of high school.

“We all talk about this freedom of speech — yes, we all do have freedom of speech, but at times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you’re not thinking about others and only thinking about yourself,” James said during a press conference Monday. “I don’t want to get into a word or sentence feud with Daryl Morey, but I believe he wasn’t educated on the situation at hand.” _ LeBron

LeBron stating he knows more about China than an NBA executive with a masters degree from MIT is laughable. LeBron knows as much about current affairs in China as Hunter Biden knows about Amtrak…he rode the trains…alot. It’s a viable comparison, James knows China and Nike throw billions at him for nothing more than being an NBA player, Hunter knows Amtrak, Ukraine, and China throw billions of dollars at him for nothing more than being the son of the VP of the United States, both have their own selfish end game, SHOW ME THE MONEY and they will pander to whoever you need them to, even if it’s a communist country at odds with the United States.

Well done LeBron, you are who I thought you were.

A Note For The Spineless NBA

A Note For The Spineless NBA

The billions of dollars at stake seem to be enough for Adam Silver to bow to a communist country. China has cancelled events, taken down advertisements, and basically bitch slapped the NBA because they got their feelings hurt by a fucking tweet, a tweet in support of freedom for the Hong Kong protesters by an American.

If the NBA had any spine whatsoever they would pull every NBA player out of the country, cancel EVERYTHING China related, and pressure shoe/apparel companies to move their manufacturing to another country or back to the States.

The NBA is chalk full of billionaire owners who, with one act of solidarity, could send a message to China that America will not be pressured by any country  to curtail any Americans rights to free speech, regardless of the financial consequences.

Unfortunately that will never happen, money is more important than backing an Americans right to free speech, and that right there is the core of everything that is wrong with this country. (see Washington DC)

They Just Don’t Get It

They Just Don’t Get It

Just listened to Roger Goodells press conference and the talking heads afterwards, they still don’t get it.

Mr. Goodell said that the owners and players had a “meaningful conversation” about player issues and the owners decided no punishment for players, just a suggestion they stand.

No mention of discussion about fans and their concerns or the belief that players should stand and save their politics for their own time.

Everything centers around billionaire owners and millionaire players but no “meaningful conversation” about the fans.

I was hoping the owners would say enough is enough, obviously none of them get it.

Buh Bye NFL, guess I’ll continue to do something else on Sundays….idiots.

It’s Just Business Dummy

It’s Just Business Dummy

You own a large company that sells a specialty product only a dozen other companies have the capability to produce, let’s say booster rockets. Your employees have very specific skill sets and are paid handsomely for what they do. You hired a new engineer a few years back and he blossomed into one of the best engineers in the business, he did so well in fact that you let one of your favorite engineers go and gave the new engineer an enormous raise, you just couldn’t keep them both.

A few years go by and the new engineer starts slacking, he can’t keep up with new technology and isn’t willing to put in the work to get better. He’s under contract so you decide to stick with him hoping he’ll come along. Then you start hearing about complaints he has with your number one client, he thinks the your customer doesn’t hire enough minorities and is racist, this is your best client. He’s becoming a cancer in your business and starting to influence the other employees so you let him go when his contract is up.

Years of training and developing him gone to waste. It’s crushed your business and it’s going to take another five to ten years to rebuild. You’re amazed when your competitors start calling for references on your old employee, they’ve all seen the damage he did to your company yet they want to hear it from you since you know him best. Whether or not you give him a good reference is inconsequential, the damage he did with his baseless complaints against your best client is being felt industry wide.

Nobody will hire your former engineer, they don’t want anything to do with someone who obviously has an axe to grind and they don’t want their business to suffer because some one hit wonder boy feels aggrieved. As his former employer you can’t blame them, it’s smart business, you only wish you hadn’t hired him in the first place.

Now your former engineer is suing not only you but your competitors for unfair hiring practices through his union.

In that context is it fair?

If he was an NFL quarterback would that change your mind?

It shouldn’t, it’s the same thing.

We Are On Our Own

We Are On Our Own

I’m still pissed off about the NFL players, coaches, and owners going all in against POTUS and the flag and all that it represents to us, the dirt people. The league and owners are betting that playing political football won’t hurt them, and they may very well be correct.

The “Monday Night Football” matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals made for the strongest ratings for a “MNF” game this season. Ratings for the game rose 63% above the week three game from 2016, according to ESPN

Average Americans have been handed down disappointment after disappointment and we have no choice but to keep living our lives as best we can, we fought the good fight and gave our side all three branches of government, how’s that worked out?

All of the consternation from people who are disjointed about the NFL fiasco will be handed down another disappointment, people will continue to watch and the league will go on as usual and average America will go back to getting by as best they can. People will fight the good fight and do what they can to show their disapproval of the NFL but the chances that players will be forced to stand is slim to none.torch-merch-Robert

Like big government, professional sports is a swamp and the sports media complex makes their money skimming the slime. ESPN, FOX Sports, and the alphabet network pre-game shows all supported the players. They twisted what Trump said into an attack on all of the black players when in truth he was speaking of the few Kaepernick knuckleheads. This is how it works, if a conservative says something against the lefty narrative they are convicted in the court of public opinion as racist, it happens like clockwork.download (2)

The players chose their national stage to turn their collective backs on the flag and what it represents, the media turned them into victims of racism, that ploy comes right out of the liberal play book. The players act as they have been verbally assaulted, the league backs the victims and the billionaire owners fall in line because they lacked the courage to put their foot down when it was just one, now it’s out of control.screen-shot-2017-09-25-at-5-32-44-pm

To the millions of Americans who are as pissed off as I am, I hope at least ONE player or owner will show some backbone and speak up for the fans and the flag but I’m not holding my breath. It’s just another kick to the gut of average Americans who want so much to feel like somebody cares.

We are on our own, get used to it.

UPDATE: Apparently this is not in the rule book, I’ll leave it up for someone to confirm who may know better than myself. It was a late night post and I was still pissed off about the days events, I took a shot and was wrong, sorry for the confusion.

A Mans Character Is Tested

A Mans Character Is Tested

Cam Newton started this. His superman act, his dancing, his arrogant persona, and his claim that he is the best QB evah, then he got humbled.

There are two ways you can go in defeat, show class and answer media questions with dignity or…….face the media with disdain then storm out without answering questions. If you can’t handle success with humility, then the chances of being humble in defeat are slim to none.

It’s a shame that a kid with this much talent was never taught the basics in life. Be thankful for what you have been given and be humble in victory or defeat. A mans character is judged by these things and when Cam’s character was tested he failed. Maybe he will learn from this, maybe he won’t, only time will tell. Costas Goes Off On Augusta

Costas Goes Off On Augusta

Bob Costats must feel fairly comfortable in his NBC gig, that or he is following the company line. On the Dan Patrick show this morning, Bob goes off on the racism and sexism as a part of Augustas history and how somebody should point that out as a commentator.

So all of the sudden Costas has come out on race and gun control in his position as a sports commentator, what a petty little liberal man.
