Health Care Needed Reform Not An Entitlement
What The…
….hell is wrong with these people. Who is going to pay for 2.5 million “free agents” health care you idiots?
“We have the CBO report, which rightfully says, that people shouldn’t have job lock. (What the hell is job lock?) If they — we live in a country where there should be free agency. People can do what they want,” Reid told reporters outside of a close policy luncheon. “And what they’re saying here is — and the fact checkers have already done this — the Republicans talk about losing millions of jobs simply isn’t true. It allows people to get out of a job they’re locked into, because of — they have healthcare in their job.” (So the CBO says 2.5 million jobs lost, yet Harry Reid says that this is a republican claim and is not true…anybody else see the problem with that?)
Said Rep. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) today: “I am growing increasingly alarmed at the Democrat’s refusal to not only discuss solutions to fix this calamity, but also by their denial that a problem even exists with Obamacare at all.”
“The Budget Office does not see unemployment falling below 6% for the rest of President Obama’s term. Six percent for the remainder of his term,” said Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas). “Yet despite all of this, the President still won’t get behind genuine pro-growth reforms, he won’t support genuine reforms of our existing programs like Medicare and Social Security that would actually save them and put them on a fiscally sustainable path. He has no plan for controlling our national debt.”
Patriotism Is Never Corny – Means More Today
I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either. – Chris Kyle

The Hell With Common Core
May I suggest a new school curriculum. Actually I don’t think it is new, just forgotten. Payoff line at the end.

Assimilate Or Leave – No Discussion
This story just reaffirms my belief that liberal ideologies go against what America and it’s immigrant history are all about. The school administration official who made this decision should be removed or fired.
Students and parents at a Colorado high school are outraged after administrators turned down their request for a spirit week day honoring America because it might offend non-Americans. “They said they didn’t want to offend anyone from other countries or immigrants,” a 16-year-old member of the student council told me. “They just really did not want to make anyone feel uncomfortable.”
Immigrants should be required to “become” Americans if they want to live here. To be offended on a day to celebrate America, means that you are not eligible to be an American….Period! Damn this shit pisses me off.
The student council at Fort Collins High School had proposed having a day to celebrate the United States during next week’s Winter Spirit Week. The young people pitched “’Merica Monday” – and invited their classmates to dress in patriotic colors. Their proposal was promptly shot down by administrators.
“They said they didn’t want to be exclusive to any other country,” a 17-year-old member of the student council told me.
The students and parents who talked to me about this incident have asked to remain anonymous. The parents feared their children might face reprisals from liberal educators.
And there you have it folks, liberal educators. It may be time to levy penalties on the educators and administrators in our public schools who promote a political agenda. Let college fuck ’em up, stay out of our public schools.
“It’s shocking,” the 16-year-old said. “There are men and women fighting for our country and we should be able to celebrate that and be proud that we live in a country where we are allowed to vote – the right to free speech. They won’t even let us celebrate it.”
The irony, said the students, is that they are required to participate in Cinco de Mayo celebrations. One member of the student council pointed out the hypocrisy – and noted that students were not being forced to dress in red, white and blue for “’Merica Day.”
“We were confused why we couldn’t do one day that was for America,” the student told me. The parents said they are “so tired” of political correctness.
Colorado, you may need to begin running some of these liberals out, they moved to your state from California years ago, now they have taken over and are teaching your kids. And your new pot laws are going to make matters worse. Hard to believe you were once a solid red state not that long ago.

Supreme Court Justices Should At Least Try To Be Impartial
Something is wrong, very wrong with the Supreme Court. With the power they have to dictate law, (see Obamacare is a tax), the justices should at least try to put on a non partisan face. Unfortunately, they don’t even try anymore.
Justice Sonia Sotamayer speaking to students at Yale:
Sotomayor was asked at a talk at Yale Law School later in the day about her use of the term “undocumented immigrants” rather than the traditional illegal alien. Sotomayor characterized the issue as a regulatory problem and said labeling immigrants criminals seemed insulting to her.
“I think people then paint those individuals as something less than worthy human beings and it changes the conversation,” Sotomayor said.
Um, no. They are here illegally which makes them criminal. When a Supreme Court Justice twists that description you are in dangerous territory. She is looking through the wrong prism, instead of law, she is looking through the skewed perspective of left ideology.
The 59-year-old justice said she quickly left an interview to attend Harvard, feeling she didn’t belong. She said Yale students in the 1970s were talking about revolutions in Cuba and other countries while she had attended a Catholic high school where the monsignor supported the Vietnam War.
“This is too progressive for me,” she said of Yale, sparking laughter. “Yeah, strange, right?”
Shouldn’t be considered strange at this point. You either have convictions and principles or you don’t. If you change your mind with the prevailing winds, you are not worthy of being on the Supreme Court. And it seems to me, this is exactly what Ms. Sotamayer has become.
She admitted that she sometimes finds herself stuck between two worlds, one in which her colleagues talk of operas and another in which she sees a cockroach in an apartment in her old Bronx neighborhood and flees. “Sometimes I do feel I’m not part of either world completely,” she said. “My life has changed so much that going back I don’t feel I’m completely part of the conversation.”
I would like to think a Supreme Court Justice should be decisive, strong, and un-wavering, wishy washy don’t cut it. I would rather have a person who has worked their ass off for years with the hope to be considered for a Justice position, not one who feels out of place. That gives me the sense that she was surprised with the nomination, surprised she was confirmed, and feels obligated to the people who selected her. Basically a rubber stamp for the left.
Obamabots’ Feeling The Squeeze
Always find it interesting when the useful idiots who voted for Obama are shocked when they discover they were lied too also.
Lamb says her old CoverTN plan cost just $57 a month and “was perfectly suited to my unique medical condition” until her plan and 16,000 other Tennesseans’ plans were canceled due to Obamacare. Lamb’s new Obamacare platinum plan costs $373 a month, even with a small subsidy, and that she is likely to spend over $6,000 more a year on her medical costs.
Lamb, who attended Obama’s State of the Union address as a guest of her congresswoman, says she has had to take a second job to pay for her Obamacare plan.
“Given my health problems, the physical and emotional drain that this puts on me is difficult to bear. It’s also made it much more difficult for me to care for my ailing mother, who depends on me for help,” wrote Lamb.
In the end, Lamb says she feels betrayed by the man she voted for.
“Mr. President, you’ve now broken all of these promises–and not just to me.”
