“Looking To The State Department” – Military Official Acknowledges Benghazi Failure

So they had time, they knew it was a terrorist attack, and they waited for word from Hillary or Obama for the authority to go. How much more info do they need to start impeachment proceedings on Obama and criminal charges against Hillary?

A retired military official who served at U.S. Africa Command in Germany during the time of the Benghazi attack says that the United States “should have tried” to send help to Americans under fire there. “There are accounts of time, space and capability discussions of the question, could we have gotten there in time to make a difference,” Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell (Ret.) told the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. “Well, the discussion is not in the ‘could or could not’ in relation to time, space and capability. The point is we should have tried.”

I don’t understand what their justification was for waiting, there was no way of knowing how long the battle would last.  and here’s the money shot:

Lovell also told the panel that U.S. officials knew at the outset of the attack that it was “hostile action” and not a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islam video. But as the military weighed its reaction, he said, “there was a lot of looking to the State Department for what it was that they wanted.”

If there are any questions, who is to blame should be not one of them, it is obvious.

  1. Impeachment of this phony mother-fucker ain’t gonna happen because the Republicans in the House aare totally without any trace of the balls it would take to even get any sort of discussion on the matter, much less the passing of an impeachment indictment. And if an impeachment indictment makes it to the Senate for trial, Dirty Harry Greed probably won’t even allow it to be heard.Another thing, should impeachment of The Ayatollah Obama would bring out all the race baiters and hustlers, both known and unknown, all across the country.

And of course, the mainstream media would be up in arms denigrating and libeling every Republican in Congress for promoting impeachment, as well as for all other things they can conjure up since the Titanic ran aground on that iceberg 100 years ago.

This country has gone so far downhill in the five-plus years this incompetent asshole has infested the White House, happily aided and abetted by the media, that is doubtful that we will ever recover from his fucked up policies, executive edicts and out of control spending. At least not in my lifetime, anyway.

    1. Scottie – If things are found to be attributed to him or his advisers on the Benghazi cover up, he should be run out on a rail. Personally I believe they enough to start proceedings.

  2. I believe that Obama and Hillary should be run out of town for this and everyone who supported the cover-up, including candy crowely. But, as far as a rescue mission, it was my understanding that they were listening to the attackers and read it as an ambush. They wanted to avoid another Blackhawk down situation. My feelings are that Hillary and barry need to be held accountable for the attack, their actions preceding the attack, and the support of the muslim brotherhood and the actions of the brotherhood in eqypt.

    1. Mac – The assumption of what the battle may entail is a mute point. Special ops are trained to be ready for any scenario, the obvious question is why were they not afforded the opportunity to try. The Bin Laden raid had more questions than attack on a consulate with a drone recording and watching every move. I would argue we had a huge advantage over the attackers, yet were stymied by politicians covering their asses for whatever reason.
