Cummings Implicated In IRS Scandal
Cummings is a scumbag politician just like all of the democrats and especially the black caucus dems. He is on the oversight committee that grilled True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht and called her a liar and a racist. If it is true that Cummings is the person in who contacted the IRS about delaying their 504c, he should be removed from the committee at once, and criminal charges should be forthcoming.
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., has accused the panel’s top Democrat of prompting the Internal Revenue Service in 2012 to target a conservative organization applying for nonprofit status. Issa said records obtained last week from the IRS show communications from the office of ranking member Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., about True the Vote, a Texas-based, nonprofit conservative group that aims to prevent voter fraud.
The communications at one point involved Lois Lerner, the ex-IRS official who Issa’s panel is poised to hold in contempt of Congress on Thursday for refusing to provide testimony about her involvement in targeting conservative groups. “The IRS and the Oversight Minority made numerous requests for virtually identical information from True the Vote, raising concerns that the IRS improperly shared protected taxpayer information with Rep. Cummings’ staff,” a statement from the Oversight panel reads.
Issa said Cummings and his office asked for more information in January 2013 about True the Vote, this time getting Lerner involved. At one point, an email revealed, Lerner asked her deputy, “Did we find anything?” When the deputy said she had not received any new information, Lerner responded, “thanks – check tomorrow please.”
Issa said Cummings had previously denied asking the IRS about True the Vote.

Maybe – belay that – very probably this back-and-forth with Lerner is why Cummings threw such a hissy-fit at Sen.Issa over something relatively a few weeks ago in that Senate hearing, knowing that the shit was about to hit the fan.

I inadvertently referred to Issa as “Senator” when it should have been “Representative”. My bad. But ain’t gonna matter what Issa’s committee does in regards to Lerner. Shyster General Holder won’t do a goddam thing toward charging Lerner criminally. Hell, he may even offer her a job in his offices. At more pay than the IRS is paying her.
Scottie – That’s what worries me. What good does it do to prosecute anyone when Holder won’t touch ’em.
You’re right, Jeffi. If anyone should be prosecuted at all, it should be Shyster General Holder first and foremost. Then all of his minions right after him. But, it ain’t gonna happen. If nothing else The Ayatollah Obama will issue another of his executive decrees completely exonerating the Shyster General and everyone else even remotely involved. As long as they are Democrats in good standing, of course. Remember President Ford pardoning Nixon back in the 70s? Same f**king thing, only worse.
And whjen Cummings is brought up on charges by Rep. Issa, look for him and all the other race hustlers, Jesse Jackass, Oprah, Farrakhan, all the Black Caucus sycophants, and Al Never-was-Sharpton (if he hasn’t been taken out by some drug lord for his ratting them out years ago) to start screaming “race”. Count on it.
