One of the reasons I retired early can be seen in the dotted line on that graph (Staff per Student). The added staff isn’t faculty – it’s administrators who do nothing but create ‘special’ programs that add to overhead, increase faculty workload, and do nothing to help educate students. It’s a total waste of resources that could be put to much better use.
Tim – I had you in mind when I posted this. I assumed you had some perspective on the issue. Flat line scoring for students with the increase in costs is an abject American failure.
