Make California Great Again…if possible
Wall Street Apes on X (formerly Twitter): “California resident showing what Huntington Park on Pacific Boulevard looks like after an ICE raidSo peaceful. I was at an Imaging Center on Seville in Huntington Park 35+ years ago. Worked there for almost 2 years. It was a third world city then… can’t imagine it’s any better now.
Really needs a “before” video to allow a compare and contrast perspective.
I was born in the late 50s and am from the San Gabriel Valley. Huntington Park Blvd when I grew up had nothing out there but the beach for surfing. Past Covina it was Orange Groves until we had people from the east come in and mass housing and freeways built. I left LA after college and went to the Silicon Valley with my wife that I met in college. LA and California has grown too much.
Considering virtually every store along that drag is a dress store, I’m curious how well thay are doing without seamstresses, etc. Not saying that the problem didn’t need to be removed, but there is very little variety of shops there.
I thought the billboard and other signs on shuttered shops in not-English are a nice touch, as well as the taco shop.
Uh, I think the word is “vendors.”
