Bad Idea…The Wolves Are In Charge

Are you shitting me? Schumer is the guy dictating this? He doesn’t know where Wyoming is, let alone where the other “fly over states” are.

“These negotiations are challenging, as you’d expect on an issue as complicated as guns,” the chief negotiator, Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), said in a statement Saturday. “But all of the senators involved are approaching this in good faith. We are all serious about wanting to get something done, and we are going to keep trying.”Resolution of whether to keep records of private sales is key to earning the support of one of the Republicans involved in the talks, Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn, who has a solid A-rating from the influential National Rifle Association and could provide political cover for lawmakers of both parties who are wary of supporting the plan.

 Key votes? Fuck You!!!

  1. I’ll run up the BS flag on ‘good faith’ chuckie on this one – he has been trying to do any and all that he possibly can to disarm Free Citizens since he took office. Anyone who is foolish enough to think that keeping records of private sales is not a gun registration scheme probably thinks they can get a good price on the bridge in Brooklyn…………….

Sen. Coburn will cut his own political throat should he go along with chuckie – Okies like their guns.

  2. I’ve called Coburn’s office once and e-mailed a couple of times; I don’t know if he’s succumbed to the “We must do SOMETHING!” virus, or has become unhinged enough to actually trust Schumer and Manchin.

When I called, got the feeling the lady was really nervous she was about to get another ‘really-pissed-off’ earful. I think there’d been a lot of them.

Bitterly disappointed in the man. He should know better.

  3. Follow-up – here’s a refreshing and encouraging stance taken by a Wyoming state legislator:

Rev. Audette Fulbright had emailed all (Wyoming) state legislators, including Republican Rep. Hans Hunt, earlier this month to say she and her husband had just moved to Wyoming and were “seriously reconsidering” their decision amid the proposed expansion of gun laws.

Hunt’s response? “By all means, leave.”

Damn, I wish we had more like him, at both the state and national levels.
