Every last one of those bastards…! To say that this is troubling is the understatement of the decade.
All public statements by media and politicians should be conducted while seated at a garrotting stool. The strap round the neck is controlled by a servo that instantly spins into action at the sound of key words; the strap tightens immediately, the eyes bug out, and the speaker troubles us no more. Such key words and phrases include, but are in no way limited to:
• our democracy
• comprehensive immigration reform
• path to citizenship
• mask
• assault weapon
• common-sense reform
• the 1% / the “rich”
• fair share
