“Now, after the election in 2016, I faced a choice,” said Cruz. “Donald Trump had been elected president and we had an opportunity to do something extraordinary. I made a conscious choice to do the job I’d been elected to do, which is to represent 28 million Texans. I’ve got a responsibility which is to fight for every person here and every person in this state.”

Working “hand in hand with the president,” Cruz described “remarkable victories” on tax cuts, jobs created, deregulation, and unemployment.

“Texans’ lives are better, so yes I could have chosen to make it about myself to be selfish and say, ‘You know what, my feelings are hurt. So I’m going to take my marbles and go home,’” said Cruz. “But I think that would have been not doing the job I was elected to, and every single day in the Senate it has been my job to fight for jobs, jobs, jobs, and to fight for 28 million Texans.” _ Ted Cruz response to debate moderator’s question about him “losing his dignity” working with President Trump

  1. I’m still hopeful Ted is on the short list for SCOTUS. I didn’t think his senate seat would be this precarious; I just figured it would be in his best interest to accept the nomination. He’s infinitely qualified to be on the bench and would never be able to become POTUS anyway. We want consistent conservative interpretations, he’d be the guy. He never in any of our wildest dreams would have been able to take on the Deep State as our president has and will continue to do. Speaking of which, God Bless Donald Trump.

  2. everyone, even many on the right; are prdiciting a blue wave. I think that all those trumpers are going to come back and those anti trumpers are all talk and no action and will literally have to be paid to get off the couch and go vote and the mid terms become a blue ripple at best.
my reasoning is quite simple, the economy is good, why are you going to go and vote to change that. they are not.

  3. Don’t ever forget Cruz is still a member in good standing of the Washington D.C. Beltway politician’s Club. A club that President Trump will, by principle, never belong to and a club whose members would never invite him to join.

And a good reason to keep Donald Trump and his supporters in office. We’ve seen YEARS of NeoCon politics and what that gives the Republican voter. You want to give them the reins again ?
