This thread nails it. President Trump may slow Mother Nature’s progress a tad, but the end is inevitable. Most “Past Republics” had a 250 year life span. We just hit #242…8 to go! I thank the stars I’m 76.
yep, everything posted on the decline on empires is happening here and you are right that the usa is overdue for the fall that is coming.
and I’m oddly jealous of your age, similar to my grandparents; you got to grow up when the usa was king and traditional middle class americans were awesome and while I do not wish death on anyone; you will probably miss it before things get really bad.
My 1950s America was fantastic, leeholsen. Boy scouts were….errr, Boys. Marines were….errr, Alpha Males. Cops wore cotton shirts, polyester pants, a night-stick and a revolver. No body armor, tasers and body-cam. How do I know? I participated in all 3 of the above exclusive clubs back in the day. As far as being 76 I have no choice in growing old or having grown up in a better time. Good luck youngins’!
the 1950’s was the pinnacle of the usa imo. rock n’ roll was just starting and largely good and innocent, women looked like women and wanted to look like women and smell great, the cars were stylish and all American steel and having a drink during lunch at work was almost a certainty in many offices.
for all the convience we have gotten thru technology, it just is not worth the trade off in the decline and culture. personally, I’m building an 1980s and 1990s media library to live in as we decline as that was the last period that the usa looked appealing to me. it’s been all downhill since bill Clinton and is picking up speed now imo.
