Bingo!

Bingo!

And the truth shall set you free.
“…the federal government (must) dramatically reduce its spending across the board, and in many cases eliminate spending in many of the programs that consistently consumed tax resources without any tangible, measurable benefits. It is time to rein in runaway government entitlements, appropriations, subsidies, grants, regulations and those pet projects of Senators and Representatives that are often loaded with additional spending amendments to benefit their home state constituents (and bolster their re-election prospects) or to satisfy special interests and lobbyists.”

  1. that would be fantastic if he can actually do it. 95% of the federal government is unconstitutional. He can start with the dept of ed., the epa, the dea, the irs and any thing else that is not mentioned in the constitution.

  2. What Puzder said is true, but also should have included the looting of the Social Security Systems resources for the libs pet “projects” (read “scams”).

  3. It’d be nice if he can do that.

But I am old enough to remember that Reagan ran in 1980 on a promise not only to get rid of BATF but also to ban its manifestly corrupt rogues’ gallery of miscreants and felons from further government employment. Then he won, and took office, and a goon squad from the American Federation of Government Employees (yes, they let US government workers unionize) marched into the Oval Office and explained to him in very small words with very few letters in them how things were going to be.

Maybe Trump is willing to go to the wall on this. I don’t hold out much hope. The might of the entire Deep State is arrayed against him, and they are bound and determined to see that there will be no changes to public policy, elections be damned.

We used to call that kind of thing insubordination and treason–but now the law is whatever half the Supreme Court plus one says it is, and I don’t think Trump or the GOPE have the brass balls to try to pack the Supreme Court with actual conservatives.
