Bow Down
WASHINGTON – In a break from her own position, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on Monday called for the removal of the Confederate flag from statehouse grounds.
“The time has come,” she said to applause.
The time has come for what? If a Christian did not agree with a LGBT flag in a parade, could they have it removed? I think not, it’s protected by the 1st. This should go to a vote by the people of South Carolina. If they choose by a majority to remove the flag so be it, but to appease some liberal jack ass because he/she/it felt that it was offensive is….well….offensive. Let the citizens decide instead of bowing down to political correctness.
I like Nikki Haley but she is wrong on this issue.
In the book, “1984,” one of the characters representing the ‘intellectual elite’ of society explains that the people who invented and control the language, the most intelligent members of society, are actually the furthest from sanity. Once again, I believe Orwell was playing the role of prophet when he wrote these words:
“It need hardly be said that the most clever practitioners of political correctness are those who invented political correctness and know that it is a vast system of mental cheating. In our society, those who have the best knowledge of what is happening are also those who are furthest from seeing the world as it is. In general, the greater the understanding, the greater the delusion; the more intelligent, the less sane.

Two or three days ago, I read in a Weasel Zippers post that some one wanted anyone who flies a Confederate to be arrested. Besides being just plain stupid, that idea won’t stop any private owner from flying it. I wondered at the time, what if someone here in the U.S. flew a truly contemptible flag, such as the old Soviet Union Hammer and Sickle or even the black ISIS flag, would the WZ author in Question want them arrested as well. And would Hillary and Mullah Obama both be for it before they were against it, depending on their political preferences of the day?
I should have included the Nazi flag with the swastika and the Japanese rising sun flag (as opposed to their present day flag) into those contemptible flags. But my point is still the same.
Sadly, we’re discovered Gov. Haley, like the rest of her cronies and cowardly Republican buddies, is pandering to the Knee Grows. I liked her before this but she’s on my shit list from now to eternity!
