Californication

Californication

Back in the ’80s I was working in Colorado, I traveled back and forth to my home state on the weekends and I kept seeing these signs that said “Stop Californicating Colorado”. At the time I had no idea what the hell it meant. Fast forward 30 plus years and now I understand.

Californians were either relocating or buying summer homes/estates/ranches for great prices in western states compared to the bloated real estate and oppressive taxes in Cali. Sates like Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada were being inundated with Californians and their liberal beliefs. They could sell their homes back in Cali for hundreds of thousands and buy bigger places with more land for a fraction of the costs of a replacement home in California, don’t blame them, but they brought their liberal beliefs with them.pipestone

With Colorado going up in smoke, (pun intended), it should not surprise you what drastic things can happen in a short 30 years, and with democrat controlled states deteriorating don’t be shocked when the citizens of those failed states start showing up as your new neighbor, I already have one from New Jersey. Texas your next. colorado_sucks_bumper_sticker_bumper_bumper_sticker

    1. Kent – I don’t see how Texas can escape some sort of a left wing bent but the good news is there are a lot more of you than them.

  1. I grew up in north central Montana about 50 miles east of Glacier Park, and lived in Glendive and Billings. Montana used to be a great place to live, but too goddam many of the Hollywood elite assholes have infested the state and have driven property prices in towns like Whitefish, Bozeman, Missoula, Libby, and Kalispell to the point where the native Montanans can hardly afford to live there any more. Ted Turner, he who used to be married to Hanoi Jane Fonda, built the Big Sky Resort near Bozeman. Today common folk can’t afford to drive past the entrance, much less go on the grounds.
