Meanwhile our hospitals are furloughing employees because the expected (by the elites) tsunami of Commie-Flu cases never appeared, but they were told to cancel everything else, including cancer surgeries and cardiovascular procedures!

Yes…they worship at the altar of power, but they also focus their attentions on exactly the wrong things. It is a toxic combination of arrogance, power and stupidity, and it has come close to destroying us.

At least their philosophical antecedents could do a few things well…Mussolini was famous for getting the trains to run on time. The current crop of authoritarians can’t balance a checkbook or manage to keep the streets clean.

And they want to run healthcare in America? Our experience of the last few months should be the final nail in the coffin of single-payer, government-run medicine in America.

HARVARD – […] We have previously said that Harvard, like other institutions, will face significant financial challenges due to the pandemic and economic crisis it has caused. We are also concerned however, that the intense focus by politicians and others on Harvard in connection with this program may undermine participation in a relief effort that Congress created and the President signed into law for the purpose of helping students and institutions whose financial challenges in the coming months may be most severe.

As a result of this, and the evolving guidance being issued around use of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, Harvard has decided not to seek or accept the funds allocated to it by statute. (read more)

This is ludicrous, I can see a Harvard bean counter getting carried away but ALL the Ivy League schools ripping off taxpayer money to save small business? Shut them down until they pay back the money….double what they took.

Harvard University will receive nearly $9 million in aid from the federal government through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, the Department of Education announced last week.

The CARES Act — the largest economic stimulus package in American history — was signed into law on March 27. It allocates nearly $14 billion to support higher education institutions during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
