Say Hello To 2013

Say Hello To 2013

If you thought 2008-12 was bad…..wait till you get a load of 2013.

As mentioned in an earlier post, I am not one for conspiracy theory. I am one for potential reality, and the reality is that this country can’t sustain the habitual government spending without paying for their irresponsibility at some point in time. The time frame for an economic collapse is unknown, but it will happen. Conservative or Liberal it does not matter, the wheels have been put in motion and it can’t be stopped, we have gone too far down the path.

Keep your eye on California, they have spent and taxed themselves into fiscal hell,  business’s are leaving the state by droves, and  they are upside down in revenue. How many California cities have filed for bankruptcy already? The only way to maintain current obligations is a bailout from the federal government. Our current resident in the Whitehouse and his groupies in the senate and congress are following the same blueprint as California, taxing the wealthy to the extent they take their business elsewhere, and spending beyond revenue.

The question then becomes, who bails out the federal government? Who comes to the rescue of America? Well, nobody that’s who, and there is your collapse, the death of the dollar, and the beginning of the revolution.
Be prepared. Below is a portion of a story I read today, you can read all of it here.

There’s a reason thousands of Americans have been purchasing guns of all description and laying up stores of ammunition and it may go beyond concerns of gun bans. A lot of patriots think that 2013 could turn very ugly, very fast, with fears of martial law, Homeland Security goons, mass arrests, secret incarcerations, and worse. I have doubts about these scenarios, but they have long been a part of the arsenal of oppressive governments.

The trigger, however, for such scenarios would be the collapse of the U.S. dollar and there are signs—the massive national debt, the continued government borrowing and spending—that suggest this is a very real possibility. If and when that occurs, all bets are off.

What stands between most Americans and those who might wish to engineer the end to the Constitution is the fact that America is home to hundreds of thousands of hunters who comprise, by virtue of being armed, the largest army in the world. A goodly portion of our law enforcement community and our military are going to refuse orders to turn their guns on their fellow Americans and doing so would prove to be unhealthy.

Revolution is never pretty, but Americans did it once and can do it again to protect the Constitution and our rights. In a sharply divided nation, however, the level of resistance is unknown when so many now depend on the government for support. Many will prefer their chains.
A Letter To Senator Feinstein

A Letter To Senator Feinstein

No ma’am !
Friday, December 28, 2012

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston

Utah School Teachers Lock & Load

Utah School Teachers Lock & Load

This story warms the heart, unless you are a liberal nut-job communist democrat. These people are preparing to defend themselves and their students.

The CNN clip below shows how liberals hate guns, notice the disdain on the hosts face as she interviews the gun class instructor. She should be applauding the effort yet she looks like she is interviewing a criminal. UPDATE: I don’t know whats up with the volume, it seems all of my video has been muted and I can’t undo it. Anybody have this happen before?
Got it, I guess I will need to move the volume slider to get the volume to work.

A Tyrannical Government?

A Tyrannical Government?

Sandy Hook was all they needed. Democrats are coming for either your guns or your identity. With handguns being inserted into the updated Assault Weapons Bill, big government has it’s foot in the door…..YOUR door. Below is a partial list of Senator Diane Feinsteins new bill. You can see all of it here

Following is a summary of the 2013 legislation:
Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of
120 specifically-named firearms
Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one military characteristic
Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds

Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:
Background check of owner and any transferee;
Type and serial number of the firearm;
Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law;
Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration

Every citizen who is in possession of such guns must now be registered, photographed, fingerprinted. And the government will need “Dedicated Funding” to enact the laws. So if I am reading this right, you lose a little more freedom, and the government gets a little bit bigger.
But how can the government check for all of these weapons if people decide to remain anonymous? What if you just have an old gun for personal protection in the glove box of your vehicle? Well, they are getting ready to find you.

DHS Purchases thousands Bullet Proof Checkpoint Booths

The Department of Homeland Security recently stoked concern by contracting a company to provide them with hollow point bullets. Now the federal agency is also purchasing bullet-proof checkpoint booths that include ‘stop and go’ lights.
A press release from Shelters Direct brags about how they are providing the DHS with bullet resistant guard booths. Images of the booth from the company’s website suggest the guard shacks will be used to control checkpoints.
More here

But you have no reason to give up your constitutional right to bear arms. What are they going to do? What is the worst that could happen?

The Department of Homeland Security has purchased 450 million rounds of hollow points

The federal government initiated a contract for acquiring450 million roundsof .40 caliber ammunition. “The special hollow point effectively passes through a variety of barriers and holds its jacket in the toughest conditions,” says a press release from the award winner, ammunition manufacturer ATK. (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/atk-secures-40-caliber-ammunition-co…). This ammo is forthe Department of Homeland Securityas well as ICE. The Social Security Department has allso purchased 750 thousand rounds of various types for training of it’s agents and the TSA.

Now I am not much of a conspiracy theory guy, but what in the world is going on here? It is a fact the left wants the guns……all of ’em. But why would these government agencies need, that amount of ammo? DHS is a domestic policing agency. So why?
I would not even post anything about this until I saw the new law goes after a far-reaching description of all types of weapons. They make a point to not involve hunting rifles, but the description of the banned guns include numerous types of guns whose soul purpose is for hunting. If you had to put a percentage to it, I would dare say that they just made 85% of all weapons on either the banned list or the register, fingerprint, photograph list. And as you saw with the New York newspaper that printed personal information of gun owners in two counties, once they have your info, they have you.

Common Sense vs. Gun Control

Common Sense vs. Gun Control

This post will be short. My heart aches for the lives lost, I have three kids and there are no words to try to comprehend what the families of Newtown have gone through. It is something that, number one, I hope to never find out, and number two, I won’t try to act like I know how these people feel.

That being said, I don’t own guns for the soul purpose of hunting, I own guns for personal protection, and that is protection from criminals or criminal governments. As soon as the left finally gets the fact that we are preparing our security from them, the further along their understanding will be. That is all.

College in Southern Utah Pressured To Change Name – Removes Statue

College in Southern Utah Pressured To Change Name – Removes Statue

Now I am pissed, this political correctness has gotten way out of hand.
Dixie College, a small educational institution in St. George, Utah is being pressured to change the name from “Dixie” because of the racial overtones the name carries from the confederate south.

Are you shitting me! St. George is on the Utah/Arizona border. The climate was conducive to growing cotton, so that is what the good folks of St. George did, raised cotton. St. George was dubbed “Utah’s Dixie” due to the warm climate and the early cotton farms. THERE WERE NEVER ANY SLAVES IN ST. GEORGE…EVER!

Dixie College may have a .05% African-American student population. But one of the black students decided the name was racist. The Alumni are furious and are considering dropping funding if the name is changed.
30 years ago an artist was hired to make a statue that symbolized the college name. Last week due to the controversy school officials had the statue removed. Because of one black student. Who is supposedly speaking for the entire student body. A student body who is ambivalent about the controversy.

The artist is also fit to be tied. He can’t believe the school administration would take the statue down without any debate or discussion.

“The Rebels,” by Utah sculptor Jerry Anderson, depicts a mounted soldier holding the South’s famous Civil War battle standard and helping an injured comrade. For the past 25 years, the life-size bronze statue has stood in front of the Avenna Center, where it is now fueling the argument that the college’s name ties it to the racist traditions of the slave-holding South.

But Anderson, who has produced numerous statues on display outdoors at Dixie and Southern Utah University, was disappointed.

“It looks like they have succumbed to the adversary,” Anderson said. “They are a bunch of wusses. That’s the first action taken to get rid of it?  The other people are winning. That’s the way it is in the world. We are giving in to people who really aren’t Americans.”

The rallies have been organized by critics who say the Dixie name should be retired. Last week, someone threw a sheet over the statue’s Confederate flag.

The statue’s removal is the latest development in a campus discussion that is becoming increasingly confrontational, including a warning from Dixie’s leading benefactor that donors will cut off support if Dixie is dropped.

Legislation is in the works to elevate Dixie to university status as early as next year, prompting the need to come up with a new name.

This is the young man who has been pushing for removal of the statue and also with the name change, his quote after they took it down:
“This is one of the main things I have fought for. It’s a great day.” Roi Wilkinson said. “It’s not like this is promoting anything other than negativity, and when students see it from that perspective they will agree with us.”

“If they look at it from that perspective they will agree with us” is the telling part of the quote. He knows a majority of the students don’t have an issue with the name or the statue. It is just him and whatever liberal lefty minded students he can round-up.

I don’t know how old the young man is but slavery was abolished 147 years ago, so approximately 125 years before he was born.

I’m sorry but this shit is more about making noise and stirring up controversy than it is about personal feelings. I can’t believe for one second that this kid loses any sleep about the name or the statue. But he certainly gets his name in the paper and get’s the satisfaction of destroying a beautiful piece of art that he deems to be a symbol of white authority/power or whatever.
This is what is wrong with our country nowadays. Liberal minds are making the rules.
With the media, university professors, politicians, and bizarro lefties, they are pushing buttons and officials, in whatever capacity, are crumbling. They cave like a cheap tent so as not to be considered racists. IT WAS 147 FREAKIN’ YEARS AGO! Even if you want to play the ’50’s and ’60’s segregation argument hell that was over 50 years ago.

Don’t you think that as a race you have been given preferential treatment in the last fifty years. Affirmative Action is everywhere. You have your own television network, (which if it was WET instead of BET shit would hit the fan), the NAACP, The Rooney Rule,….blah, blah, blah ,blah, blah.

Mr. Wilkinson I don’t know why you chose to come to Dixie College, but when you get your degree, would you please go back from whence you came and leave our history the fuck alone. That is all.

California Loses Revenue After Tax Increase…Go Figure

California Loses Revenue After Tax Increase…Go Figure

As I have mentioned before, I don’t understand Californians. I posted something along those lines back in August and I really could not understand how the populace would continue to vote for people who were hell-bent on destroying the state’s economy.
Then in November, the same idiots nationwide re-elected the same person who is hell bent on destroying Americas economy. So be it.
I no longer feel a need to try to change anyones minds about the disaster they just initiated. I no longer feel obligated to worry about the next generation, it was the next generation who were a majority vote for Bambam. So be it.
You kids get what you deserve.

The only thing that I can do is take care of my own and prepare for the eventual collapse. And if you think that I am being to apocalyptic, look to the east, I give you Detroit, New York, and Chicago then to the west, California. For all you youngsters out their that thought it will be great to have bigger government, bigger handouts, bigger unions, bigger social justice, bigger immigration, add nauseam blah blah blah… check your facts. You want to see the future? Look no further than the decay that has infected the states listed above.

Democrats thought they could hammer “the rich” by convincing voters to pass Proposition 30 to create the highest state income tax in the nation. But it now appears that high income earners have already “voted with their feet” by moving themselves and their businesses out of state, resulting in over $1 billion shortfall in corporate and income taxes last month and the beginning of a new financial crisis.

State bureaucrats immediately ramped up deficit spending far beyond the state’s $6 billion annual tax increase, with the Departments of Health Services and Developmental Services increasing this month’s spending by over $1 billion versus last year. The lower tax collection and higher spending drove the State’s deficit after the tax increase to $2.7 billion for the first 5 months of this fiscal year. State Controller John Chiang reported.

As panic spreads that goosing taxes on the rich may have created enough “tax flight” that the California will actually collect less taxes, there was welcome news that a business had committed to opening in the State. Executives of the 99 Cents Only Stores Inc. proclaimed they would be opening a new location in Beverly Hills on formerly posh Rodeo Drive.

All A Dollar on Rodeo Drive, bwahahahahaha…….. you just can’t make this shit up. How does that feel you liberal nut jobs?
A Nod to Breitbart for the story – Read the entire article here.

Before you get on my ass about city versus states names. just take it in context. Michigan/Illinois…happy.

A Liberal Masquerading As A Sports Writer

A Liberal Masquerading As A Sports Writer

I know I went off about Bob Costas and his inappropriate rant during Sunday Night Football last Sunday. I still think he is backwards in his thinking, but I give him props for going on O’Reilly’s show last night doing his best to explain.

But the sports writer Bob paraphrased is Jason Whitlock and he is a complete and utter buffoon. I have never seen anyone spout such racially biased blather and is completely unaware that he does it.
A few quotes from his latest column.

Bob Costas quoted and paraphrased my ancillary point during a courageous halftime commentary on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.” He infuriated the right-wing entertainment media and gave Bill O’Reilly and his disciples the opening to pretend the Second Amendment is under some sort of serious attack. It is not. We just finished a hotly contested election cycle, and not one political candidate that I can think of uttered a single meaningful word about gun violence, gun control, gun culture and the outdatedness of the justification for the Second Amendment.

There were bigger fish to fry you idiot, gun control is a liberal dream, even if it is not front and center in an election cycle and Obama is trying to get the moderate vote.

This issue is so dead in this country that the flag-waving, right-wing entertainment media have to drag up a non-political, non-voting sports columnist and a talented sports broadcaster as their straw men to justify their phony outrage. I don’t think I’ll be called before the Senate to speak on any toothless gun-control legislation the NRA lobby lets slip through a crack.

For being a “non-political, non-voting sports columnists”, you certainly express your feelings favoring the left on social issues that, if you don’t vote ….you should shut the fuck up. FOX Sports should boot your ass.

I’m a grown-ass man and it’s 2012. I don’t have to shuffle off to the Big House when summoned. O’Reilly is not Boehner, Pelosi or Obama. He’s a TV entertainer who has spent the weeks after the election crying about the end of “white establishment” America, the end of the days when an upstanding white man felt entitled to summon whomever he wanted whenever he wanted to the Big House to dance.

Chicken shit. It would be pretty easy to blow your cover as a closet liberal spewing your point of view as a “sports writer”. Your from Chicago for hell’s sake, you know you have an Obama bumper sticker.

I believe we should re-examine our love affair with guns. They don’t protect us from tyranny. Guns are toys in America. Guns are a dangerous hobby. Guns are a macho accessory, no different from a shiny sports car.

We can’t see this or even have a discussion about it because the propaganda-political-lobby-machine, the NRA, has hoodwinked America into believing handguns make us safer. The NRA, like the KKK, has brainwashed us through fear and division.

Yeah, I trust this guy.

Retirement Outlook For 20 Somethings

Retirement Outlook For 20 Somethings

I received this from an Investment Firm detailing the realities of the world we live in. I assumed that social security was a retirement benefit, (albeit a small one). If it was never intended to be that, then it was a tax.

Retirement Outlook for the 20-Somethings

In the 1930’s Franklin D. Roosevelt set up Social Security as part of the New Deal.  Most people are unaware that age 65 was picked as the retirement age because life expectancy in the 1930s was just under 60. In other words, most people would be dead before they were eligible for benefits. As a result, Social Security would not cost much to fund.

Then Social Security morphed from Social Security to Social Retirement. How did this happen? The answer is simple: someone forgot to increase the eligibility age.   As life expectancy increased, the eligibility age should have increased too. Applying the 1930 rules, the true retirement age today is shockingly age 89.

Here are the stats from the governments own tables:

Year Number of Recipients Dollars Spent
1937 52,236 $1,278,000
1940 222,448 $13,896,000
1950 3,477,243 $961,000,000
1960 14,844,589 $11,245,000,000
1970 26,228,626 $31,863,000,000
1980 35,584,955 $120,511,000,000
1990 39,862,125 $247,796,000,000
2000 45,414,794 $407,644,000,000
2008 50,898,244 $615,344,000,000

In the 1930s, giving money to a handful of older survivors was a great idea; today, it is most likely going to break us, unless something is done.

The remedy is quite simple: gradually increase the retirement age to where it truly belongs -in the late 80s.

The older generations had little reason to doubt the strength of Social Security. They graduated from college with little or no debt, joined a company with a great pension plan, and saved for a rainy day.

For the 20-Somethings it is different. Most likely, this will be your reality:

  • You are probably on your own!   Nobody is going to take care of you! Retirement is your problem, not somebody else’s!
  • Social security will probably always be around, in some form, but you will need to be older to get it.
  • Employer funded pensions might be a thing of the past.
  • Here is what you might want to do:
    • Get into a good and rewarding profession that pays well.
    • Practice frugality – you don’t need all that stuff.
    • Save! It is fun to have money – it’s tough to be broke.
    • Take full advantage of the many tax deferred ways to save: IRAs, Roth IRAs, 401ks, Annuities, Cash Value Life Insurance, etc.
    • Don’t try to get rich quickly. “Hail Mary” passes usually fall short. People get rich slowly. Small investments over long periods of time make all the difference.
    • Remember: money has to do with freedom – without it you are in bondage
