WASHINGTON — Senate Democrats blocked a vote Wednesday on a bill that would have halted the admission of Syrian and Iraqi refugees into the U.S. until they underwent the strictest vetting process ever required for people fleeing their war-torn homelands.
Senators voted 55-43 to advance the bill, falling five votes short of the 60 needed. President Obama had vowed to veto the legislation if it passed.

Among other things, Zarif’s son was the best man at John Kerry’s daughter’s wedding.

Sen. Marco Rubio says people who immigrated to the U.S. illegally but haven’t committed any major crimes could be allowed to stay.
In an interview airing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the Florida contender for the Republican presidential nomination said felons shouldn’t be allowed to stay, but those who commit lesser crimes could still qualify. In this interview, he didn’t specify whether those allowed to stay would ever be able to become citizens.

Electing Rubio keeps the gates open and the Cloud People in control. Rubio just acknowledged his compliance to that plan.
Trump is not tapping into anger. He’s tapping into the sensibility of the great majority. The people look up and see an endless parade of frivolous parasites who defend nothing but their own prerogatives at the expense of everyone else. What’s the point of voting for one party or the other when both sides are colluding against your interests? Why do we have these parties?
You don’t throw way something because it makes you angry. You discard that which you see has no value. That’s where the managerial class finds itself today. I don’t understand this at all. Two attack vessels loaded with enough firepower to decimate the dingys the Iranians showed up in, yet our people are forced to surrender. The boats were in the area for a reason, they were apparently told to go where they went, why would they not defend themselves? More Obama “rules of engagement”?
Is it just me or does something seem a bit sketchy here. Would Obama order these men into harms way for political gain in an attempt to prove the Iranians are reasonable in returning the sailors?
