And The Truth Comes Out

And The Truth Comes Out

Jorge Ramos is the voice for Mexicans and Latin America in the U.S., he is wildly popular as a reporter for Univision and appears on FOX news frequently. One would think he would pick his words carefully but Trump has him so pissed off Ramos is saying what he really thinks and he thinks the United States belongs to Mexicans.  H/T Gateway Pundit for the story

Feeding At The Trough

Feeding At The Trough

I can’t repeat this enough. Unions representing public service employees should be eliminated.

Unions pay into campaign funds of politicians who in turn bargain with the same unions on benefits and pay for public employees funded by the taxpayer.

Private companies held captive by unions make decisions based on company finances, politicians and unions bargain with taxpayer money with no regard for cost as long as the quid pro quo continues.

Then you get this shit;

The National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 280 sent an invitation to the rally on the EPA email system during work hours, encouraging employees to rally for “respect.”

“Please join NTEU members from across the country as we rally at the U.S. Capitol for fair pay, a secure retirement, and respect,” the email, which was sent Wednesday, states.

“We really need you to come for this,” the union said. “Now, more than ever it’s important that EPA employees stand together.”

The rally comes at a time when government bureaucrats, including career employees for the EPA, are vowing to resist the new Trump administration.

In an unprecedented effort, EPA employees called their senators last week pressing them to vote against Scott Pruitt as the new EPA administrator. The New York Times called it “a remarkable display of activism and defiance that presages turbulent times ahead for the EPA.” Pruitt was confirmed by a vote of 52-46.  here…

And this is what the taxpayer gets for our hard earned money.

The Forest For The Trees

The Forest For The Trees

“Yet here we are in February 2017, with the drought completely over in Northern Cal and close to being over in the South. The rainfall of the past few months has shattered all records. The last “abnormal” California winter, 1982/1983, saw rainfall that was 88% higher than the 30-year average. Winter 2016/2017? 120% higher. Cities like Long Beach have seen rainfall at levels never before recorded. The end-time apocalyptic cultists were wrong, but you won’t hear any of them admit it. Just as Christian doomsday cultists never apologize when their Rapture clock turns out to be broken, so too do the macumba practitioners of the “IFL Science” left feel no need to explain themselves. Because the members of their parish—the smug Rachel Maddow-watching, NPR-listening atheist Democrat soft-skulls—demand no explanation. Again, it’s a matter of faith. If the Rapture doesn’t happen as prophesied, it’s not because Pastor Looneybird was wrong in his calculations. It’s because God changed His mind at the last minute and rescheduled the blessed event, and now we must double our faith in our beloved pastor as he attempts to figure out the time and place of the new Rapture.

And if the tree-ring-circus necromancers of the left got the duration of the California drought wrong, it’s not because their models and methodologies were faulty; it’s because Mother Earth cried tears of sympathy on our state to buy us a little more time to confiscate asthma inhalers so that we may regain her favor.

That last sentence may seem a bit over-the-top, but it isn’t. Never forget that the voodoo priests of the left banned the most effective types of asthma inhalers because they were “killing the earth,” even as leftist billionaires were allowed to continue flying private jets all over the world in order to play golf and screw fashion models and conduct similarly important business. There is no way this is any saner than the faith healing and tongue-speaking of the charismatics and evangelicals. Indeed, it’s worse, because it’s way more invasive, way more intrusive, in the lives of bystanders. No right-wing Christian ever forced me to anoint with oil. But leftist charlatans posing as scientists banned the only type of inhaler that helped my elderly mom’s asthma, because the act of her going “puff puff” so she wouldn’t die was bringing about the end of days, while Al Gore’s totally unnecessary private jet oddly had no effect on the environment.

That’s science? No, that’s an Indian rain dance.”    here….

United States begins enforcing existing immigration laws, number of asylum seekers/illegal immigrants from South America doubles on Canada’s southern border.

Canada will continue to accept asylum seekers crossing illegally from the United States but will ensure security measures are taken to keep Canadians safe, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Tuesday.

The number of would-be refugees crossing into Canada at isolated and unguarded border crossings has increased in recent weeks amid fears that U.S. President Donald Trump will crack down on illegal immigrants, and photos of smiling Canadian police greeting the migrants have gone viral.

For The Collective Good

For The Collective Good

“So long as [men] hold the tribal notion that the individual is sacrificial
fodder for the collective, that some men have the right to rule others by
force, and that some (any) alleged ‘good’ can justify it – there can be no
peace within a nation and no peace among nations.”

Nothing To Show For It

Nothing To Show For It

Michigan Rep. John Conyers and his fellow CBC members have plans to re-introduced legislation to set up a commission to consider whether reparations should be paid to black Americans for slavery. Conyers has been proposing the same bill every year for at least two decades. The bill would also consider the prospect of the federal government issuing a formal apology for the “racial and economic” discrimination against African-Americans.This despite the fact that slavery was outlawed over 150 years ago.

This may be a surprise to Mr. Conyers but the American people who work for a living already pay reparations in the form of welfare, EBT cards, housing subsidies, and other handouts paid for by the American taxpayer. So take your bill and shove it up your ass, we owe you nothing.

As a matter of fact, we have paid more into the “War on Poverty” than we have spent on real wars and what do we have to show for it?

Since that time, U.S. taxpayers have spent over $22 trillion on anti-poverty programs (in constant 2012 dollars). Adjusted for inflation, this spending (which does not include Social Security or Medicare) is three times the cost of all military wars in U.S. history since the American Revolution.   here…

The Best Lessons

The Best Lessons

It’s that the practical world of productive industry gives one perspective that you cannot get by repeating lecture room jargon to your coevals in the faculty lounge. In the right answer fields, being wrong has consequences. Mistakes leave marks and the best lessons are those that leave scars and as a result, the best men are usually those with the most scars.    here….

10 Trillion Gallons Of Climate Change

10 Trillion Gallons Of Climate Change

I’m not trying to act like I’m happy about the problems being caused by all of the precipitation hitting California. Certainly I would hate to see any major damage caused by theses storms and I hope Oroville dam holds up after the fixes.

I am being a sarcastic ass due to all the climate change, global warming, liberal assholes bloviating about an endless man made drought. It’s weather you nut jobs, and if you would have spent money for dams and fixing your infrastructure, you wouldn’t need to worry about to much water or not enough. Well done Jerry.

Last week, I said that up to a foot of rain could be seen in the Lake Oroville watershed due to a series of “supersoaker storms” coming through. Now, the largest of the storms is bearing down. Dr. Ryan Maue of WeatherBell says there’s going to be an unbelievable “10 trillion gallons” in the next 7 days as more storms come through.   here…

This is not a surprise, it’s happened before:

California has a history of abruptly switching from drought conditions to torrential rain.

Brewer describes a great sheet of brown rippling water extending from the Coast Range to the Sierra Nevada. One-quarter of the state’s estimated 800,000 cattle drowned in the flood, marking the beginning of the end of the cattle-based ranchero society in California. One-third of the state’s property was destroyed, and one home in eight was destroyed completely or carried away by the floodwaters.california-b

The Coming Megafloods, talks about what is responsible for most of the largest historical floods in many western states. The megaflood to strike the American West in recent history occurred during the winter of 1861-62. California bore the brunt of the damage. This disaster turned enormous regions of the state into inland seas for months, and took thousands of human lives. The costs were devastating: one quarter of California’s economy was destroyed, forcing the state into bankruptcy.

Today, the same regions that were submerged in 1861-62 are home to California’s fastest-growing cities. Although this flood is all but forgotten, important lessons from this catastrophe can be learned. Much of the insight can be gleaned from harrowing accounts in diary entries, letters and newspaper articles, as well as the book Up and Down California in 1860-1864, written by William Brewer, who surveyed the new state’s natural resources with state geologist Josiah Whitney.

In 1861, farmers and ranchers were praying for rain after two exceptionally dry decades. In December their prayers were answered with a vengeance, as a series of monstrous Pacific storms slammed—one after another—into the West coast of North America, from Mexico to Canada. The storms produced the most violent flooding residents had ever seen, before or since.
