A Barren Wasteland…

A Barren Wasteland…

…….literally.

Mr. Macron, for example, is childless. So is German leader Angela Merkel. So is British Prime Minister Theresa May. The President of Italy has three kids, but Italy’s Prime Minister is childless. So is Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of Holland. Mark has some fun with Belgium: the current Prime Minister has two kids, but the previous one was a childless homosexual.

Why, Mark wonders rhetorically, would we expect these barren politicians to think hard thoughts about the world of twenty, fifty, eighty years from now? They have no personal stake in that world.    here….

Legally Prescribed Welfare System

Legally Prescribed Welfare System

Hopes have been shot to hell of ever being able to afford regular health insurance, health reforms will never fix the mess the government has created.

“Likewise, requiring insurers to cover a wide range of conditions against which some subscribers do not wish to insure – indeed, against certain contingencies that cannot apply to them in any event (e.g., costs associated with pregnancy for male subscribers) – turns the insurance system into a complex system of overcharges and cross-subsidies, that is, turns the system into a legally prescribed welfare system rather than an insurance system.

Stop Calling It ‘Insurance’

Legislators will be reluctant to buck continued subsidies and privileges no matter how irrational these interventionist distortions are.

The federal government and the state governments have intervened haphazardly in the health-care insurance business so pervasively and for so long that by now the whole setup is nothing but a gigantic mess that flies in the face of the insurance principle and dictates a host of requirements that make no sense except as answers to the prayers of special-interest groups and rent seekers.

Once a net benefit has been created, however, each beneficiary group will scream to the heavens if reforms should threaten to remove its privilege, and legislators will be reluctant to buck such organized political insistence on continued subsidies and privileges no matter how irrational these interventionist distortions are as components of an insurance system.”   here.…via Maggies Farm

Societies Structural Breakdown

Societies Structural Breakdown

You can’t pick up an old (any) woman and body slam her. You can’t drag an old woman across the ground and throw her into a pool.

Societies moral compass just doesn’t allow for it…..oh wait…..it’s OK….their just misguided youth oppressed by the system.

I weep for this country.

Ladies And Gentlemen…..The Pretenders

Ladies And Gentlemen…..The Pretenders

The GOP Establishment just emerged from a presidential primary in which Donald Trump bulldozed a huge field of top-shelf Republican contenders, in no small part because the public was furious with Republican inability to make progress on a conservative agenda despite holding both House and Senate. They seem to have learned nothing from the experience.    Here… and Here…

Just a few thoughts on this second round series featuring the Warriors and Jazz.

First off, I’m from Utah. I’ve followed the Jazz ever since they moved from New Orleans. I’ve seen the bad times to the good times and back to the bad times, I’m not a fanatic just a fan and I don’t give the Jazz much of a chance in this series. That being said I have a few complaints.

Last night ESPNSJW had a quick preview of the series. They joked about Salt Lake City having “zero” night life, they lamented the only way to have fun is to go to Vegas in between games, they even had a graphic showing a twelve hour trip to Vegas from Salt Lake and the cost to lease a car to get there. Well, it takes five hours to get to Vegas from Salt Lake, I have taken that trip more times than I can count, it never varies unless there’s weather.32770F9F00000578-3504209-Jovial_President_Obama_was_clearly_enjoying_the_historic_basebal-a-27_1458678352880

The arrogant asses at ESPN just threw out a number because in their minds who cares, it’s Utah, whose gonna fact check. Sound familiar?

Next, the Golden State players have jumped on the Salt Lake City bash fest. Steph Curry say’s in his snide way he will go snowboarding, forward Matt Barnes said “there’s no nightlife in Utah.” Forward Andre Iguodala said being in Utah “can kind of lull you to sleep” and the SLC vibe is “just like, ‘Man let’s just get out of here.'”stephen-curry-barack-obama-558x330

I don’t get the insults about the city, plenty of places to party in Salt Lake but that’s not the point. This is the Golden Boys from California against the upstart team from Utah. West coast against fly over country, hip millionaires that do commercials and endorsements versus buttoned down wannabes from Mormon country. High life versus family life. New York versus Indiana. It’s kind of a microcosm of the current divide in the country.

Personally I could care less about what the opposing players think. When Utah sent the Clippers packing in game seven Sunday night I was amused noting that Jay Z and Beyonce were on the front row. They had to do the walk of shame out of the arena because the other Golden Boys from LA La Land were just dismissed from the playoffs. If I get nothing more out of this years Utah team that image was enough for me.nyc_obama_jay_z_beyonce

Golden State has built a wonderful team and they’re fun to watch, I can say that with indifference to the Oakland-San Francisco area, I have no reason to go there, never have. I would imagine that Golden State players would trade their state tax liabilities, property taxes, and cost of living for Utahs, but I digress.

I will enjoy the series whether it’s a sweep or Utah wins a few games. I give Utah little to no chance of actually winning the series, and that’s OK. I still have a wonderful place to live regardless of the weird liquor laws and California will still be California, my life won’t change because of a few basketball games.

ps: I’ll be watching a couple of the games from a casino in Nevada, because it’s just a few hours away from Utah with golf three days in a row in St. George and Mesquite. Suck it California.060331_travel_golf_hmed3p.grid-6x2

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

The bill does include $12.5 billion more for the military and $1.5 billion for border security, but the border security cannot be used for a wall.  Likely it will be used for technology, which will better allow the government to watch illegals crossing the border on TV.  The legislation also stipulates that none of the money be spent for a “deportation force” and that there be no cut in funding to sanctuary cities, at least while President Schumer is in the White House.

Amazing isn’t it, I could have sworn Republicans had the majority, obviously it was just a dream.

What does this spending bill tell us about politics?  If we want a government that doesn’t fund Planned Parenthood, we need to elect a Republican House of Representatives.  If we want a government that doesn’t fund Obamacare, we need a Republican Senate.  If we want a government to get serious about funding a border wall, we need a Republican president.  In the minority, Republicans are powerless to push any of their agenda, just as Democrats are powerless when they are in the minority.  That’s why we need to push hard to help Republicans win the House, Senate, and presidency in the next election so we can finally get real change in Washington.  Imagine what they could do if they won all three and had total control of government!    Here…..

Weird Science

Kind of amazing a guy with such a meager education can promote himself as the last word on climate change. Just goes to show you the left will use anyone with some popularity regardless of their background. That’s why people like Amy Schumer, Katie Perry, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Madonna are used as useful idiots for the Cult.

Shallow people that watch Ellen and The View believe these celebrities are somehow qualified when in reality their only skill is acting like someone they’re not….like a real scientist.Nye - Lundgren comparisonh/t Ace for the image

A top Mexican official on Tuesday said that Mexico may consider charging a fee for Americans entering the country in what could be seen as a retaliation to President Trump’s call for a border wall. Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray, in a meeting with Mexico’s top legislators, called Trump’s plan an “unfriendly, hostile” act, and called on his colleagues to consider the entry fee.

“We could explore — not necessarily a visa, that could impede a lot of people from coming to Mexico — but we could perhaps (have) a fee associated with entry,” Videgaray said. “This is something that I’m sure will be part of our discussion, and I believe we can find points of agreement.”

Videgaray went on to say that Mexico would not pay a cent toward the wall. He said if talks between the U.S. and Mexico fail to satisfy both countries, the Mexican government would consider reducing security cooperation.

“If the negotiation on other themes — immigration, the border, trade — isn’t satisfactory to Mexico’s interests, we will have to review our existing cooperation,” Videgaray said.     here…

“Review our existing cooperation”? You don’t cooperate, you export your people to America so they can repatriate billions thus propping up your corrupt third world economy. And as far as charging a “fee” to get into your wretched country, knock yourselves out, should do wonders for the tourist industry that continues to shrink because you can’t hide all the bodies piling up in Cabo and Mazatlan. Yeah, charge that fee Luis.
