The Missouri State Fair on Monday imposed a lifetime ban on a rodeo clown whose depiction of President Barack Obama getting charged by a bull was widely criticized by Democratic and Republican officials alike.
The rodeo clown won’t be allowed to participate or perform at the fair again. Fair officials say they’re also reviewing whether to take any action against the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association, the contractor responsible for Saturday’s event.
The entertainment during the bull riding contest featured a clown wearing a mask of Obama with an upside down broomstick attached to his backside. Spectators were asked if they wanted to see “Obama run down by a bull.” Many in the audience responded enthusiastically.
Numerous Missouri officials denounced the act after video and photos were posted online. Some Democratic Missouri lawmakers suggested Monday that there should be financial consequences for the fair. A bit thin skinned Obama supporters don’t ya think?

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a controversial bill into law Monday afternoon allowing the state’s transgender public school students to choose which bathrooms they use and whether they participate in boy or girl sports.
What in the hell is fair about this?
Supporters say the law will help cut down on bullying against transgender students, The families of transgender students have been waging local battles with school districts around the country over what restrooms and locker rooms their children can use.
“Now, every transgender student in California will be able to get up in the morning knowing that when they go to school as their authentic self they will have the same fair chance at success as their classmates,” Masen Davis, Executive Director of Transgender Law Center said.
While California is the first state to pass a law of this magnitude, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Washington and Colorado have all adopted policies designed to protect transgendered pupils.
The fact almost anything the Obama administration does seems scandalous and rife with cronyism and incompetence, this would not surprise me. But given the fact that it is against the law and shows that Obama is nothing more than a puppet, it’s kinda big news. And I would venture a guess, but I assume another impeachable offense.

We have had this special lady on before. She loves blaming others for failed union policies that are shutting down the school system in Chicago I can’t express my dislike for this obese, greedy, selfish union boss, and how thankful I am that I don’t live anywhere near Chicago.
On Wednesday, Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis placed the blame for Chicago’s failing schools right where it belongs: on “rich white people.” Speaking to a luncheon on education reform, Lewis said that Chicago is the most segregated city in America, and that the educational failures in certain areas of Chicago are attributable to the “fact that rich white people think they know what’s in the best interest of children of African-Americans and Latinos, no matter what the parents’ income or education level.” She added that there needs to be “an honest conversation about poverty and racism and inequality that hinders the delivery of an education product in our school system.”
Then she goes after the greedy banks.
Lewis said that minority neighborhoods need more funding, and blamed racism for lack of funding. “It’s as if there were a concerted effort to make sure that these are not walkable, thriving, healthy communities,” Lewis stated. And she blamed banks for driving people out of their homes in forecloseures. “If you look at the majority of the tax base for property taxes in Chicago, they’re mostly white, who don’t have a real interest in paying for the education of poor black and brown children,” said Lewis.
What she needs to understand is that white people are moving out of Chicago in droves, just like they did in Detroit, and her union negotiated teachers pensions, will begin breaking the bank. So instead of blaming whitey, take a good hard look at the union extortion tactics used against the city.
The average salary for Chicago teachers is $76,000 per year, making them the highest-paid teachers in America. The Chicago Teachers Union has also fought the shutdowns of failing public schools throughout the city.
I for one have had a gut full of this GOP smarmy bullshit. Time and again we watch as these asshats banter on about standing their ground and not caving into left wing democratic demands. Alas, the rats are swimming for higher ground. Time for the third party Tea Party to stand up and be counted.
Members of Congress have been on recess for only a few days, but it already seems the time away from Washington means more support for a pathway to citizenship among some Republicans.
In the past few days, two Republican members of the House of Representatives — Daniel Webster in Florida, Aaron Schock in Illinois — have expressed preliminary support for a way to legalize undocumented immigrants and allow them to eventually earn full citizenship. Even the House GOP whip, Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), announced support for legal status, although he stopped just short of supporting full citizenship.

Actor Matt Damon is a strong supporter of America’s public schools. Just two years ago, the star spoke passionately about the importance of public schools at a Washington DC “Save our Schools” rally. In fact, the actor is so impressed with public school teachers that he has demanded they receive a pay raise. That passion and conviction, however, does not apply to Damon’s own children who willnot be enrolled into the Los Angeles public school system.
In an interview with the Guardian published Saturday, Damon revealed that he had just moved to Los Angeles from New York, but that he didn’t “have a choice” when it came to putting his four daughters into private schools. The multi-millionaire did say that it was “a major moral dilemma” and then made the bizarre excuse that the public schools aren’t “progressive” enough.
This would probably mark the first time anyone has ever complained that America’s public schools, especially in Los Angeles, aren’t left-wing enough.
