I know its just a pipe dream, but humor me….
If NOBODY paid their taxes on April 15th, and it was well known announced to the papers and discussed, nobody pays their taxes this year until the gov’t fraud is cleared up, and >50% of the people actually complied, what would the feds do?
I mean, worst case you and me pay a late fee and file in May, right? But if we stood up to the government en masse (peacefully), and refused to give them more money until they cleaned house, what would actually happen? Would reform happen, or half the country get nailed for dodging taxes? How could they (no, really, like 330 million people is a lot, if 100k of us didn’t pay… )
