New Project
I had a 1969 Camaro back in high school, I sold it after I graduated and over the years I always wanted to get another one, but this time I wanted a convertible. That was 40 years ago, last Friday I was checking out my local classifieds and a 1967 RS/SS convertible popped up, 1st day listed.
My project begins……

I’d give my left nut for that…and that’s my good one!
Congratulations
Well there goes the wallet. 350/300hp? auto or 4 sp? original 12 bolt rear? headlamp covers missing? My first job was in a Chevy dealer’s service shop in 1971. Still new 1970 454 Chevelle’s and 70 1/2 z28’s on the lot. Parts guy had a L88 corvette.Every Hot Wheel Chevy product came through the service drive.Young man’s wet dream. I loved it. Have fun with your project. Allan
Allan – 350 with auto transmission, and yep, gonna take some cash to get her right.
Speaking as the ecstatically happy owner of a 68 Mustang, that’s very nice. Have fun with your new time machine.
Very nice score my man, that will definitely keep you out of the taverns for a while.
In 1968 I bought a 1964 Corvette from a school teacher for $1,750. It had only 27k miles on it. God, I loved that car. That was 5 corvettes and about 20 other cars ago and I still remember it fondly.
You just broke my Envyometer.
Looks like you got a good foundation for a long-term project.
BITCHING!!!
Take your time, the build is just as much fun as the drive. Stock or modified does not matter. Build it the way you want, not what everyone else tells you.
Restrofied:71,72,73 Rally Sports and working on a 62 vette.
Dave – Yep, lots of opinions on how I should build it, and I’ve only owned her for three days.
Raptors! A beautiful palette for an artist to begin with.
You realize that we will want regular updates with pics. Consider it random wrenching updates, basically wheel porn!
Dave – I was planning on keeping interested folks updated. Just got my compression numbers back 180 thru 185, no need for rebuild, she’s good to doll up. Manifold, exhaust, pretty things in the engine compartment. Starting on body work this week.
