Can see both sides however the toilet seat is used by both sexes and both should be respectful towards each other, so shut up and do this if it’s up and you need to sit..put it down and if it’s down and you want it up …raise it up. Stop the equality BS, the toilet does not care.
I never really groked this debate.
I was raised with the understanding that the toilet had LID for REASON.
If everyone puts the damn lid down where it belongs, then all people must go through the same motions both before and after doing their business.
Problem solved.
(And yes, I realize that public facilities generally do not come equipped with lids, but they are also segregated by sex so the whole point of the argument becomes moot)
Growing up with four sisters after complaining about the damn seat, I told them okay, I’ll leave the seat down, I don’t care which hole I pee through. I never saw my mom laugh as hard as did and look of utter horror on my sister’s faces.
