  1. I loved those wax bottles filled with colored sugar water. Bite off the top and drink. And how about the wax lips you could wear and than chew? Dixie cups delivered in a small truck with a freezer on the back and a string of bells above the driver to get the kids attention. The lid of the Dixie Cup featured movie stars like Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy and Gene Autry.

A little later (70’s): It was Pop Rocks!

  2. I forgot, licorice pipes. yuck!
    So how old am I?
I remember milk being delivered by horse and wagon as well as ice for the ice box. Coal was delivered by horse and cart too. All trains were steam powered, no diesel. Communication over long distance was by telegram. I had telegrams read at my wedding.
So, how old to you think I am?

    1. licorice pipes was made in the early 1900’s. You could be around 80 to 90, depending on where you grew up is the horse and wagon deliveries.
