I am not sure what Santorum is thinking. The RNC should have something to say about this. Calling for democrats to vote for you in a republican presidential race is a bit alarming but it also shows that Santorum knows how to elicit reactions from big unions. What should startle every conservative is that Obama did the same thing, same day, and reiterated in a speech to the UAW today. What does that tell you? I would not be surprised that Santorum wins or comes in a close second to Romney due to the fact that he has experience dealing with these unions when he was a Senator for Pennsylvania. So I am not surprised by this approach, it shows how he will govern if elected POTUS, appease whatever organization will get him what he wants.

Take note of that. If he will go this far now, whose ass will he kiss if elected president. He states the reason he appealed to democrats in the robo calls was to show that he can be bipartisan and make deals across the aisle. Does that make you nervous? Scares the hell out of me. This country needs a president who is willing to make tough and hard decisions that are not going to be popular. That means taking on the liberal bastards that are going to fight tooth and nail against anything that does not fit their leftist goals. Can Santorum shut down a federal agency due to poor performance and or flat-out waste? Who would be willing to commit political suicide by doing that? The only candidate that would be willing to do it would be Romney. He has no Washington buddies or ties to K Street to cow down to. He does not worry about stepping on toes of Washington insiders because he is not one of them. Can you say that about Newt or Santorum? Didn’t think so.
