It’s Worse Than You Think
Great read, here’s an excerpt:
By 2031, nearly a century after the Social Security Act, an estimated 75 million baby boomers will have retired. Aside from the demographic disparity in worker ages is a subtler disparity in worker productivity and independence as senior citizens are left chasing social spending dollars that are increasingly going to a younger population. ObamaCare with its Medicare Advantage cuts was a bellwether of the shift in health care spending from seniors to the welfare population.
Which we all know will happen. If not curbed the welfare state will grow exponentially.
Increasing welfare is only a form of Death Panel economic triage that doesn’t compensate for the lack of productive workers. It’s easy to model Obamerica as Detroit, a country with a huge indigent welfare population and a small wealthy tax base. The model doesn’t work in Detroit and it’s flailing in New York, California and every city and state where it’s been tried.
Taxing the rich only works when more people become wealthy and the stick around. Which is not happening.
After a century of misery, the left still hasn’t learned that there is no substitute for the middle class. It’s not just running out of money, it’s running out of people. Keep Reading
And there in lies the sprint for immigration. It is worse than it appears.

check the date ….2031. WHY 2031 and not 2030 or 2032.
the USA that is will not exist in 2020. something is going to give and soon. I doubt the country will survive the remainder of the false POTUS term
General – I think he was using the $50,000 per individual number at 300 million. His last paragraph ratchets up the time frame due to correcting the working population numbers.
yes …I just don’t think any projection that far out is worth the electrons to store it let alone worthy of an article. the USA is stuffed way before 2031
General – You are probably correct. The reason I posted the article was for information purposes only. Are we screwed? Yes. Do people need to know why? Yes.
no argument from me …love your blog
cheers
General – Thanks, appreciate it.
