My Crazy Couple of Weeks

My Crazy Couple of Weeks

Ok, first off, the owner of my company is retiring and he is selling the business. Since I am the guy who runs things around here, I have been busy compiling information for the sale, assets, titles, land information, appraisers, etc.

It’s a bummer he’s selling but the outfit who is buying the company has some perks that will benefit me in the long run.

Secondly, I had something fall in my lap that I couldn’t pass up. Since the ’67 Camaro is 99% done I was keeping my eye out for a new project and….boom….here she is.

  1. I learned to drive on a ’65 F-100. As a lifetime Ford guy, I treated myself to one 5 years ago. She’s not mint and I have left her in a natural state, but what a joy. I do enjoy being able to tinker away. Good luck with your Chevy.

    1. The engine is a new 454, I bought it sight unseen and didn’t have any idea what motor it had. Pleasantly surprised although that’s a lot of horsepower for that little truck.

  2. That truck reminds me of Mr. Majestyk and his melon mobile.

It’s a better, more efficient vehicle than the 2023 $60,000 luxury PU trucks I see retired NY execs driving around my Western NC area.

  3. Things like that don’t drop into my lap either; I have to go chase down clunkers.
Nice job of you breaking my Envy-ometer.

  4. Hopefully the new boss keeps you on, and doesn’t dump you for….reasons.

And the P/U looks like a gem in the rough. From the pics, the body looks straight & rust free, which frees up a lot of your time & money for other things.
A 454? (snicker) Expect to get gallons per mile, not miles per gallon.
Best of luck to you, at work and play. Look forward to seeing the truck’s progress.

  5. dunno man, that’s a total POS. I’d be embarrassed to have it if I was you. Tell you what. I’ll come take it off your hands to save you the embarrassment. ha!
Nice truck and with a 454 in it you’ll definitely have fun with it!
