Update on the Camaro – It Begins

Update on the Camaro – It Begins

With work and golf I haven’t had a lot of time for my new baby, but it’s go time now….no looking back.

I feel kind of weird like I violated the poor thing, she ran great but I want this at new when it’s done. Spring of 2021 is goal to have the car completed.

  1. LS1 or LS3 restomod? I have a numbers matching 74 Stingray with 47k miles that is worth more with a LS3 engine mated to the RockCrusher tranny.

  2. Looks like 5 gallons of gasoline and a book of matches would be a good start……………………
Just kidding of course – I have no place to even think about undertaking such a project and would need lots of adult supervision as well 🙁

  3. I have a 73 Cougar convert that I bought over 10 years ago to restore. A couple heart events later, and a few years unemployed, I’m now retired and about ready to pass this dream on to someone else.
I’m thrilled you get to get yours done.

    1. my last boss has a ’57 Chevy and a ’32 Ford Tudor

and a back so bad he can barely walk. retired well financially, but poor physically.

he had to put up a wall so people would not pester him to sell them.

  4. She sure is pretty!

Mustang girl here. Enjoy your project which I guara-damn-tee will drive you nuts but it’s so much fun when you conquer the obstacles and get to drive it, especially when you get “the look”. My 68 baby took three years to get it to the point where we can take it on trips. It sits in the garage and I drive it every chance I can.

  5. I have a 68′ Firebird 400 convertible, deluxe. It is stock, runs great but could use a facelift. Maybe I’ll see your driving around the streets of Heber!

  6. I know the post is about the Camaro, but is everybody going to ignore the C3 in the foreground of the first pic?
What year is it? I’ve got an ‘81 in the same color combo, beige over camel. It won’t get out of its own way, but it sure does look cool doing it.

  7. Odie has wood in him? Oh my! NTTAWWT

Seriously, I lost count of the motors, mostly small block chevys, we rebuilt back in the day. I had a ’69 camaro and several other muscle cars back in the 70’s. Fun times. Lots of beers.
Have fun with that. I’m a little jealous
