The problem with Washington DC is they don’t know how to handle problems without lawyers and bureaucrats. They want a second special counsel to look into the DOJ and FBI shenanigans because they can’t investigate themselves, I agree with the premise, I don’t agree with the process.

Somehow these people need to be held accountable without a multi-year investigation, I don’t have an answer but I have a few thoughts on how I would handle these partisan traitors if I ruled the land.

1 – I would not sign any legislation sent by congress until they offer a bill that fast tracks procedures to get federal employees in front of whatever oversight committee is in charge to answer questions about their actions as government officials, preferably within a week of subpoena.

2 – Congressional questioning would take place on live television, I would sell the advertising spots to pay for the fiasco.

3- Evidence against the individual would be presented during the oversight hearing that is known as fact, not conjecture. The only objections allowed would be if the facts are questioned and proof of the objection must be shown immediately the committee or the objection is denied.

4 – Only ONE congressional member can do the questioning, only ONE other member can offer objections as determined by the congressional body.

6 – If the facts are accurate then guilty or innocent is not open for debate.

7 – If individual pleads the fifth, the facts are presented to a national television audience anyway, the employee understands that by pleading the fifth it is an admission of wrong doing (not guilt) and loses any pension or benefits they may be eligible for as a federal employee as well as opening a door to criminal prosecution. All new federal employees will sign a document acknowledging this punishment for pleading the fifth.

8 – Punishment will be commensurate with applicable laws already in place, the oversight committee will have no discretion on penalty, whatever decision the committee deems appropriate, they hand down the verdict from that list depending on the severity of the offense.

9 – The federal employee in question will either be handcuffed or released, just like anybody else would after a sentencing hearing.

Sample A:

Employee A was found to have lied to FISA court, documents prove he/she lied, existing phone texts show pre-meditated plans to undermine the campaign of Presidential candidate, then efforts to scuttle a duly elected Presidency. He/She is brought tho hearing within week of subpoena, damning evidence is produced and he/she is found guilty of all charges. He/She is then handcuffed and sent to prison for a period commensurate with their offense, pension and benefits vacated, employment terminated, all electronics, phone records, and financial information handed over to private company for further investigation to find out if Employee A had any accomplices.

Sample B:

Employee A pleads the fifth. Pension and benefits vacated, employment terminated, all electronics, phone records, and financial information handed over to private company for further investigation to find out if Employee A had any accomplices. Former Employee A is then forced to take the “Walk of Shame” from the Capital to the Washington Monument for public shaming. Eggs, tomatoes, and lettuce are encouraged to be thrown for effect.

 

Ahh…now I feel better.

  1. Too lenient — government workers need to be presumed guilty until they prove themselves innocent beyond any doubt.

    Just as if they were citizens facing an irs audit or an fbi interogation

  2. Any federal employee should, as a condition of employment, relinquish their civil rights, especially the one provided by the fifth amendment. We demand the same from our military, that’s why soldiers are not called CIVILians. When you are in a position of power over the citizens, you should not be given protection from dealing truthfully with those citizens!

  3. As conservatives we constantly need to remind the dogs on the left that our Constitutional rights are actually Natural Rights which flow from God. The Constitution merely enumerates (most) of them. How then can we as True Believers in this Great Republic state that federal employees of for that matter anyone should be denied these Rights ordained by God?

    I realize the frustration with this situation but as conservatives and as Patriots it behooves us to come up with a way to achieve justice without using the very anti American tactics the left would use.
