 What an absolute, unmitigated, disaster. Actually, it’s worse than that; it is an intentional boot in the groin to the American people who not only voted for the President but who have been voting for a political party to stop this since at least the 2010 election. Louisiana Senator Kennedy is dead right when he says that this bill is Congress urinating on the leg of the American people. And that is being extremely mild about it. It looks as if the President is going to sign this and then that will be that. There are those MAGA stalwarts who look on this bill as a betrayal of the President. Well, it is. But if he signs the bill then can these people be intellectually honest and still say the same thing? Ronald Reagan on several occasions told Congress to pound sand when they pulled stunts like this and whipped out his veto pen. And he didn’t have control of both houses of Congress either. Sure, even if the President did veto this bill, McTraitor and Ryno would still whip the votes to override him. But it’s the principle of the thing – the very reason that PDT ran in the first place which is to drain the swamp and secure the border with the wall. Signing this bill may very well signal the moment he pisses away his presidency. Well, at least Hillary Clinton will never be President of the United States of America. The problem with Washington DC is they don’t know how to handle problems without lawyers and bureaucrats. They want a second special counsel to look into the DOJ and FBI shenanigans because they can’t investigate themselves, I agree with the premise, I don’t agree with the process.

Somehow these people need to be held accountable without a multi-year investigation, I don’t have an answer but I have a few thoughts on how I would handle these partisan traitors if I ruled the land.

1 – I would not sign any legislation sent by congress until they offer a bill that fast tracks procedures to get federal employees in front of whatever oversight committee is in charge to answer questions about their actions as government officials, preferably within a week of subpoena.

2 – Congressional questioning would take place on live television, I would sell the advertising spots to pay for the fiasco.

3- Evidence against the individual would be presented during the oversight hearing that is known as fact, not conjecture. The only objections allowed would be if the facts are questioned and proof of the objection must be shown immediately the committee or the objection is denied.

4 – Only ONE congressional member can do the questioning, only ONE other member can offer objections as determined by the congressional body.

6 – If the facts are accurate then guilty or innocent is not open for debate.

7 – If individual pleads the fifth, the facts are presented to a national television audience anyway, the employee understands that by pleading the fifth it is an admission of wrong doing (not guilt) and loses any pension or benefits they may be eligible for as a federal employee as well as opening a door to criminal prosecution. All new federal employees will sign a document acknowledging this punishment for pleading the fifth.

8 – Punishment will be commensurate with applicable laws already in place, the oversight committee will have no discretion on penalty, whatever decision the committee deems appropriate, they hand down the verdict from that list depending on the severity of the offense.

9 – The federal employee in question will either be handcuffed or released, just like anybody else would after a sentencing hearing.

Sample A:

Employee A was found to have lied to FISA court, documents prove he/she lied, existing phone texts show pre-meditated plans to undermine the campaign of Presidential candidate, then efforts to scuttle a duly elected Presidency. He/She is brought tho hearing within week of subpoena, damning evidence is produced and he/she is found guilty of all charges. He/She is then handcuffed and sent to prison for a period commensurate with their offense, pension and benefits vacated, employment terminated, all electronics, phone records, and financial information handed over to private company for further investigation to find out if Employee A had any accomplices.

Sample B:

Employee A pleads the fifth. Pension and benefits vacated, employment terminated, all electronics, phone records, and financial information handed over to private company for further investigation to find out if Employee A had any accomplices. Former Employee A is then forced to take the “Walk of Shame” from the Capital to the Washington Monument for public shaming. Eggs, tomatoes, and lettuce are encouraged to be thrown for effect.

 

Ahh…now I feel better.

 

Trump has an Achilles heel, he want’s to be seen as a politician…..he’s not.

Politicians are the reason things are so fucked up in this country, Trump has an opportunity to change the way things get done in DC but instead he’s trying to act like a politician and that’s playing right into their hands, sitting down with the enemy and then having the audacity to agree with them is incredibly reckless.  Democrats don’t want bi-partisan agreements, they want their demands writ large, not a compromise with a man they detest with every fiber of their being.

If right leaning American voters wanted another feckless politician in the White House Jeb Bush would be President, squishy Republicans are red meat for Democrats because in reality they are all on the same team. They can play good cop bad cop depending what flavor is currently in the White House, it looks like they are fighting for their voters when in reality both sides are figuring out stupid ways to spend taxpayer money and become millionaires themselves with favors to the highest bidder. Trump was elected to put an end to politics as normal, not join in on the fun.

If President Trump can start acting more businessman Trump the opportunity for change is still there, if he insists on wining and dining the other side to prove he can reach across the isle then all is lost, including a 2020 re-election.

I have been pleasantly surprised with what Trump has accomplished in his first year only to have that optimism wiped out with one sit down with Democrats having a “discussion” on gun control. Democrats don’t care about bump stocks, they want all guns and it starts with a Republican President willing to throw them a bone, set the precedent then when another mass shooting occurs, (and it will regardless of restrictive gun laws), they follow the script and go for more guns.

President Trump needs to remember who Republican Candidate Trump was, the fire and brimstone of the campaign needs to be revisited in the White House. Sleeping with the enemy will only prove what the left has been calling him from day one, a crass uneducated buffoon who fooled millions into voting for him.

I hope he figures this out before it’s to late for us and for him.
