Today is the anniversary of the invasion of Normandy, General Eisenhower committed thousands of men to battle to retake Europe from the Nazis. If the worst case scenario were to have happened, General Eisenhower was prepared to take complete and full responsibility for the invasions failure.

General Dwight D. Eisenhower sounded confident before the Normandy Invasion. “This operation is planned as a victory, and that’s the way it’s going to be. We’re going down there, and we’re throwing everything we have into it, and we’re going to make it a success,” he said.

Operation Overlord was a massive campaign—an invasion of 4,000 ships, 11,000 planes, and nearly three million men—that was launched on June 6, 1944. Despite a year of strategizing and a boatload of confidence, Eisenhower had a quiet plan in case his mission failed. If the armada couldn’t cross the English Channel, he’d order a full retreat. One day before the invasion, he prepared a brief statement just in case:

“Our landings in the Cherbourg-Havre area have failed to gain a satisfactory foothold and I have withdrawn the troops. My decision to attack at this time and place was based on the best information available. The troops, the air and the Navy did all that bravery and devotion to duty could do. If any blame or fault attaches to the attempt it is mine alone.”

 

Let that sink in, and compare to the leadership we now have. This man was prepared to shoulder the blame for failure on a global scale.

Obama won’t take blame for anything and credit for everything. The contrast between now and then is stark, and should remind you of why those men are considered “The Greatest Generation” because they were. What we have now is a bunch of selfish people more concerned with their political agenda and lining their own pockets, nary a worry about what they are doing to America and a disrespect for a generation of men who bled and died for love of country.

It has been oft spoken that America will not be destroyed by an invading army, but will eventually be destroyed from within. I fear our best days are behind us, when people like Barack Obama and John Kerry are our current best hope….I weep for our country and am embarrassed for the legacy of the men of D-Day for what we have become.

Getting ready to enjoy the first game of the NBA finals but wanted to share a few thoughts on Bruce Jenner.

I will not call him a her, I will never refer to him by his new pet name, I will never post of picture of him in his new weirdness, the man has a mental issue, period. I assume it comes from living in LA, or brain damage caused by hanging around a herd of Kardashians………….any of ’em.

This is another example of the Cult fawning over something that goes against traditional values, it’s their favorite thing to do. In their rush to tear down traditional America they are destroying what the country is all about, Jenner is just a useful idiot, and a perverted one at that.

The thing no one says in all of this is we are required to pretend, along with Jenner, that he is a woman and it is perfectly normal for him to have done what he has done to himself. No amount of pretending, however, can change the fact we all know it is not real. Jenner is not a woman.

 

In fact, Jenner is a person with a serious mental illness. If he were convinced, let’s say, that he could fly, society would take custody of him in order to prevent him from jumping off a building. He would be deemed a danger to himself and others. Similarly, if he started slashing his wrists or stabbing himself, he would be remanded to a psychiatric facility and appropriately restrained so he could not mutilate himself. Here….

So as I head to the patio to smoke, drink, and watch a basketball game, I will have zero thoughts after this post about the mutilation of Bruce Jenner. Unfortunately we will be bombarded by the Cult with pictures and awards for a has been been who has destroyed himself and his family with an ill conceived notion of his new normal….freak.

LAW 1:

No matter how bad your last shot was, you should have Inner Peace knowing that a shittier one is yet to come. This law does not expire on the 18th hole, since it has the supernatural tendency to extend over the course of a tournament, a summer and, eventually, a lifetime.

LAW 2:

Your best round of golf will be followed almost immediately by your 

worst round ever. The probability of the latter increases with the 

number of people you tell about the former.

LAW 3:

Brand new golf balls are water-magnetic. Though this cannot be proven 

in the lab, it is a known fact that the more expensive the golf ball, 

the greater its attraction to water. Expensive clubs have been known

Sorry for the slow posts, I got back from my golf trip after taking a few days off work and all hell had broke loose. Apparently I can’t take off more than one day at a time without the world falling apart.

Cops have decided that the potential for prosecution while performing their jobs is not worth the risk in Baltimore. Now the people of those communities are complaining they are not being protected.

Tough shit. Karma’s a bitch.

Two Baltimore residents stated that they believed the police in the city are not doing their jobs in interviews broadcast on Tuesday’s “The Lead” on CNN.

Rev. Jamal Bryant, (who National Correspondent Suzanne Malveaux said is “a close friend” of the Gray family) the Pastor of Empowerment Temple Church, added, “It’s almost akin to having a substitute teach in the middle of the semester who turns a blind eye, doesn’t know the students, and is not, in fact, giving a grade. And so it’s a very dangerous time in our city when crime is going up, but arrests are going down.”
