Custer Had Better Odds
The circle continues ’round and ’round. Democrats and their propaganda media arm continue to attack conservatives and the values they stand for. It’s as if they can’t understand why the lost the house, senate, and white house in the last three election cycles regardless of their promise that they will make everything free of charge. Free health care, free college, free abortions, free, free, free. Thankfully the silent majority stood up and countered the socialist regime with the liberals worst case scenario, a billionaire with his own phone and pen willing to chip away at the progressives lefty Utopian goals. Still the left fights back.
The arsenal that liberals can deploy against the Trump administration is large. Watch any late night host and they dedicate their monologues to Trump bashing, listen to news updates on your local radio stations and information about Trump and his administration is presented as scandalous. College campuses across the country openly condone hate speech leveled at Trump, the indoctrinated snowflakes follow along because they don’t know any different, the loudest voices on campus are unattractive ill tempered feminists, affirmative action beneficiaries, and the useful idiots of the “Resist Whatever” movement.
If you have noticed the some of the commercials on TV you see the subliminal messaging of liberal ideology. Single parent, gay couples, and multiculturalism are advertisers preferred method of pitching their products. Toss in Hollywood celebs and musicians taking turns bashing Trump and you can see how the population is being inundated with the lefts dreamscape. Then you have the deep state Obama hold overs and Democrat politicians you can see the uphill battle Trump has to deal with. It would be the same thing with a President Cruz.
It’s no wonder Trump is having issues running the gauntlet of Washington, with so many people whose sole purpose is to disparage anything he does he must feel like Custer at the Little Big Horn, add in the GOPe and #nevertrumpers you would think Custer had better odds, at least he didn’t have to worry turncoats from his own ranks.
The entire political spectrum seems to be spinning just to spin. As long as they have their hands in our wallets and the money keeps flowing in why stop the merry go round. They’re fat and happy living in their mansions and gated communities all paid for by you the taxpayer. No worries about a bad economy, no worries about their healthcare, no worries about retirement, they’ve voted themselves Shangri-La, an earthly paradise, a mythical utopia – a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world.
While they enjoy this world they have built for themselves I’m running on empty, squeezed for every dime they can get their hands on, stressed to the max about healthcare, retirement, and another downturn…all the things they have secured for themselves. Washington has built their paradise, it’s up to the peasants to keep their coffers full and not upset the balance of what they have constructed.
The good cop bad cop routine by the Republicans and Democrats is just smoke and mirrors to keep the masses from grabbing the pitchforks and torches and burning the whole thing down. Representative democracy is a fallacy, there isn’t even a word I can think of that describes what Washington has become, not a monarchy, not tyrannical, not a Banana Republic, you have to have all the players defined for those titles.
No, this self serving monstrosity built on so many levels of government bureaucracy is nothing more than Government Elitism, they know more than you, they dislike you, you are deplorable. They have come from their college campus to the government campus, they have traded the status of a degree for the status of power in government, it’s not a huge jump for the well connected.
The long time “public servants” whose wealth has grown exponentially despite their modest salary pull the levers of power that can start a new department and choose where taxpayer money is spent. They keep the shadow industry of lobbyist appeased for corporate interests or government contracts, all the while claiming to serve the people that elected them….it’s all horse shit….see TSA or DHS, they weren’t around twenty years ago and we don’t need them now. There are other ways to handle the terrorist threat. (Travel ban anyone? How ’bout some good old fashion profiling?)
The last time anything substantive has ever changed Washington was during Ronald Reagans administration and even at that it barely moved the needle in stopping the growth of government. Trump has an opportunity to put a dent in what Obama did to the country, even with the deck stacked against him, but I don’t see him being able to slow the growth of the behemoth. If Reagan couldn’t do it, I doubt much Trump can.
Short Cuts
A few thoughts on immigration, legal and illegal, to these United States.
Americans have been through hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, fires, and other natural disasters since before and after America became a nation. Americans have been through wars both foreign and domestic, they have been through depressions, bank failures, a market crash, and other economic turmoils. Through all of the struggles America and it’s people became the most prosperous on the planet.
Americans built an industrial giant, private business both large and small have provided the American people a means to chase their dreams if you’re willing to work for it. America has thousands of cities and towns with infrastructure built over decades for the convenience of it’s population. Generations of Americans have had a part in building this country. Your parents, grandparents, and their grand parents have their imprint on what this country is, and it didn’t come easy or cheap.
Immigrants, (legal or illegal), are leaving their home land to take advantage of what America has become. They’re leaving their homelands because their ancestors weren’t willing or able to build what America has. They aren’t willing to stay and make their countries better, they want to take a short cut and reap the benefits of what Americans have built. They want to jump to the front of the line and enjoy the running water and asphalt roads their countries don’t have, the grocery stores filled with food, the safety of a moral society, the welfare of a generous nation.
Living in this country is a privilege. Legal immigration should be extremely difficult, expensive, and assimilation should be demanded, not assumed.
Illegal immigration should be eliminated, not because I’m against somebody trying to chase the American dream, but because they haven’t paid the generational price it took build this country, the lives lost, the treasure paid, and the human capitol invested in OUR country. My family tree dates back pre- revolutionary war, their sacrifices as well millions of other families built the country in the pursuit of happiness promised them as Americans.
Swimming a river and demanding rights in this country is insulting to the generations of Americans who built it. If your country and countrymen aren’t willing to build your own homeland what makes you think you can take advantage of ours? If your ancestors couldn’t provide a stable land to live in what gives you the right to ours?
The simple answer….you have no right to America and it’s prosperity. Go back home and do what your ancestors refused to do, make your homeland a better place to live, leave ours alone.

The Washington machine has been ratcheted up to full power. Groups from both sides have converged with the main stream media to bring down a sitting president.
Trumps team is trying to play by the rules, they terminated Flynn, AG Sessions recuses himself, they do their best to appease the GOPe, all the while the “Machine” is taking these offerings and twisting them into a political weaponry. It’s past time trying to play fair, it’s time to get down and dirty. The swamp. aka the “Machine”, is a filthy corrupt extortion ring that has been pilfering the countries treasure for decades.
The government behemoth has no edges, it’s a circular being that absorbs scandals back into itself where people like Lois Lerner can walk away unscathed. I can’t think of one person who has been a part of a congressional investigation that has been removed from their position, lost their pension, publicly shamed and banished from ever working in government again, it just doesn’t happen.
Trump is facing a deep state and media that’s not worried about repercussions. If you tell a lie enough times people begin to believe it.

I wouldn’t say that Trump’s in over his head, I would say he is fighting an uphill battle. The amount of resources being brought to bear against him is enormous, his people may be savvy but the rats are clever, they are bringing body blows while Trump throws haymakers, problem is he’s not landing them.
I hope he keeps fighting but he may want to re-think his strategy, you can’t fight fair when the other side has no issues with hitting below the belt.
This isn’t a smear campaign, this is an organized coup by the Washington machine that refuses to concede power to a political newbie like Trump.

Underdogs
Just a few thoughts on this second round series featuring the Warriors and Jazz.
First off, I’m from Utah. I’ve followed the Jazz ever since they moved from New Orleans. I’ve seen the bad times to the good times and back to the bad times, I’m not a fanatic just a fan and I don’t give the Jazz much of a chance in this series. That being said I have a few complaints.
Last night ESPNSJW had a quick preview of the series. They joked about Salt Lake City having “zero” night life, they lamented the only way to have fun is to go to Vegas in between games, they even had a graphic showing a twelve hour trip to Vegas from Salt Lake and the cost to lease a car to get there. Well, it takes five hours to get to Vegas from Salt Lake, I have taken that trip more times than I can count, it never varies unless there’s weather.
The arrogant asses at ESPN just threw out a number because in their minds who cares, it’s Utah, whose gonna fact check. Sound familiar?
Next, the Golden State players have jumped on the Salt Lake City bash fest. Steph Curry say’s in his snide way he will go snowboarding, forward Matt Barnes said “there’s no nightlife in Utah.” Forward Andre Iguodala said being in Utah “can kind of lull you to sleep” and the SLC vibe is “just like, ‘Man let’s just get out of here.'”
I don’t get the insults about the city, plenty of places to party in Salt Lake but that’s not the point. This is the Golden Boys from California against the upstart team from Utah. West coast against fly over country, hip millionaires that do commercials and endorsements versus buttoned down wannabes from Mormon country. High life versus family life. New York versus Indiana. It’s kind of a microcosm of the current divide in the country.
Personally I could care less about what the opposing players think. When Utah sent the Clippers packing in game seven Sunday night I was amused noting that Jay Z and Beyonce were on the front row. They had to do the walk of shame out of the arena because the other Golden Boys from LA La Land were just dismissed from the playoffs. If I get nothing more out of this years Utah team that image was enough for me.
Golden State has built a wonderful team and they’re fun to watch, I can say that with indifference to the Oakland-San Francisco area, I have no reason to go there, never have. I would imagine that Golden State players would trade their state tax liabilities, property taxes, and cost of living for Utahs, but I digress.
I will enjoy the series whether it’s a sweep or Utah wins a few games. I give Utah little to no chance of actually winning the series, and that’s OK. I still have a wonderful place to live regardless of the weird liquor laws and California will still be California, my life won’t change because of a few basketball games.
ps: I’ll be watching a couple of the games from a casino in Nevada, because it’s just a few hours away from Utah with golf three days in a row in St. George and Mesquite. Suck it California.
Grow A Pair
All of these people recusing themselves from various investigations is infuriating. Nunes being the latest, Sessions, and of course Mike Flynn being let go just gives credence to the Democrats claims that the Trumpapalooza tour is in disarray.
The thing that I don’t understand is, if Trump is such a fighter why allow the lefties to run his bus off the road? We/I wanted a brawler in the White House, somebody with some balls to take on the left with brass knuckles and a bad attitude. Unfortunately, starting with Flynn, were watching the left and their media bully their way around Washington as if they are still untouchable. How can this happen when Republicans have what they have always coveted, the house, senate, and White House, all under their control.
I know that they went the “Nuclear Option” on Gorsuch which does show some semblance of wielding power but that should have been a no brainer. How long before the next whispers leaks of a Trump roadie getting railroaded off the team with some bullshit tactic by the left? They’ve gotten away with three victories so far against what I thought was a formidable opponent, a Republican majority.
Time for Republicans to grow a pair and start busting heads. Expose the reports Susan Rice scrubbed, call out Schumer and his minions and demand proof of Trump/Russia collusion, if they can’t produce it, demand an apology on the Senate floor to be written into the federal registry. If no wrong doing is found by Mike Flynn reinstate him in a position that was vacated by an Obama holdover that was fired by Trump. Let Schumer and Pelosi know that any more shenanigans will result in charges by Trumps DOJ against Hillary and her bathroom server.
Quit acting like Republicans have some moral authority to do the right thing, this is a street fight and the left is cheating, time to grab the ball bat and start fighting dirty.

Our government started with roughly 50 employees in three departments. All government employees, which numbered nearly 4 million in 1939, number over 22 million today, with nearly three million federal employees and the rest state and local (and that excludes military).
The overwhelming majority of those federal employees who donated to a presidential campaign, more than 95 percent, gave money to Hillary Clinton.
