Ignoring The Pitchforks And Torches

Ignoring The Pitchforks And Torches

The donor class and their pocket politicians are bent out of shape that the ditch diggers of flyover country have gotten behind a guy like Trump. What they fail to understand is they created the monster. The pitchforks and torches have been rattling the gates since Republicans were given power in both houses yet they chose to sidle up with the Democrats. That betrayal opened up a door for a new champion of the people and Trump walked through that door. Whether he is that champion or not has yet to be determined but make no mistake it is the GOPe that shacked up with the liberals and the natives are restless.

I’m not a Trump guy, I’m a Cruz guy and the message is the same,  just a different champion.

What’s interesting to me is the Cloud People had not bothered to look out the castle windows at what’s been happening. They finally decided to send out Rubio to suppress the brigands. Yesterday his head was sent back in a box. What comes next is a organized response from both parties to put an end to Trump’s campaign and suppress the Dirt People. National Review is a proscription list as a warning to their colleagues about what’s coming.  Keep Reading….

Pulling Back The Curtain

Pulling Back The Curtain

Life inside the walls;

The fantasy of open borders turns this on its head. The managerial elites live in bunkered communities, immune from the costs of open borders. They live in these Potemkin villages that resemble college campuses, where the diversity is only skin deep. Everyone has an advanced degree, a job in government and a world view to match it. The people they plan to forcibly convert are the people they intend to stick with the cost of it, while the elites plan to enjoy the benefits.

 The Dirt People revolt;

What we are seeing here is something about how the Cloud People view the Dirt People. Loyalty to a society has always been anchored in loyalty to the people in that society. A man is willing to take up the sword on behalf of the king, because the king is doing the same for his subjects. In other words, you’re not fighting for the king, you’re fighting for what the king embodies, what the king represents. Loyalty flows in both directions.

Behold The Dirt Monster;

What’s happening is the a realization on the part of the Dirt People that the Cloud People hold them in contempt. What started out as some small skirmishes over the last decade, have now turned into a full blown war and the lines of the political establishment have broken. We’re getting to see the ugly truth that lies behind them. For most people, this is infuriating and that’s why they have flocked to the evil dirt monster that is Donald Trump

Used Car Sales

Used Car Sales

I acknowledged that Trump was running for President, I cringed as he spoke in debates and interviews, I hoped for some kind of substance, I wanted a reason to get on board the train but after last nights debate…..the train has left the station without me.

I tried I really did, but when you want to buy a new Cadillac and the salesman is trying to talk you into a Yugo you question the mans sanity.

TRUMP

Trump is not just a liberal posing as a Republican. He is a moonbat posing as an American.

While Bush 43 was taking the fight to the terrorists and American troops were in harm’s way, the Donald was yelping about impeachment. When the Tea Party reached full steam, he was praising Obama and denouncing America for being racist. Now he’s back to echoing Michael Moore propaganda regarding the Iraq War and 9/11.

Anyone with right-of-center politics who supports Donald Trump has been duped. The guy is a talented salesman. But now the mask is off, so there is no excuse not to acknowledge the mistake.   Keep reading….

Why Wait? Trump Should Walk – UPDATE

Why Wait? Trump Should Walk – UPDATE

UPDATE: That was quick, went to watch a nieces basketball game after this post and came home to find out Trumps out of debate, weird.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Tough talk, snarky tweets, and mocking is all we have gotten so far out of Trump. If he is really that dedicated to the tough guy stance, then he should walk away from Thursdays final debate. Megyn Kelly did attack him in the first debate and they have been prodding each other ever since.

If Trump actually walks, it would show people he means what he says in a very substantial way, plus he sucks at debates, it would only help him if he didn’t show up.

Megyn has been the darling of talk shows and magazines before and after the first debate, her Vanity Fair spot read more like liberal lesbian love letter than a chick mag cover story.

Her occasional, yet highly entertaining, bucking of the conservative party line has attracted more independent-minded viewers and has even earned praise from liberals such as Chris Matthews, Joy Behar, and Gayle King. As of late, passersby have been calling out versions of “It’s not too late to come to the other side!” Still, some media types warn against getting too excited over Kelly. As Bill Maher put it, “We think of Megyn Kelly as the sane one over there at Fox News. It’s just because she’s surrounded by Hannity and Bill O’Reilly. She’s like the blonde dragon girl on Game of Thrones. Everyone else is a zombie or a dwarf or fucking their sister, so she looks normal.”

Jessica Yellin, a former chief White House correspondent for CNN, says, “She defies all the pigeonholing that usually happens to women on TV. She’s smart, strong, sexy, fierce, sympathetic all at once.”

megyn-kelly-vanity-fair

Veteran newswoman Katie Couric praises her dogged interviewing skills, crucial when interrogating dodging politicians. “She takes no prisoners and takes no BS,” says Couric. “And I’ve noticed that she’s a really good listener. Sometimes the tendency is to go down a laundry list of questions and to not say, ‘Wait a minute.’ It requires you to think on your feet and to take the conversation in a totally different direction.”

Don’t get the wrong idea here, I like Megyn Kelly, very much so. But I also think she did Trump an injustice in the first debate, and Trump acknowledged the slight, a number of times. Now he is threatening a boycott of the debate…………well…………do it.
If I am to believe you will do what you say if elected POTUS, then knock off the social media red lines and don’t show up.

Do that Mr. Trump, and I will take another look at you for my vote, do it not, and your just another tough talking politician who doesn’t follow through with anything they say, we already have plenty of that in Washington.

Trumper

Fox News head will let Trump walk before replacing Megyn Kelly as debate moderator – The Washington Post

Well, Ailes has news for Trump. If it comes down to a choice between Trump or Kelly, he’ll pick Kelly.

“Megyn Kelly is an excellent journalist, and the entire network stands behind her,” Ailes said in a statement to The Fix. “She will absolutely be on the debate stage on Thursday night.”

So there.

Balls in your court tough guy.

Pandering 101

Pandering 101

(Not an attack on Trump or an endorsement for Cruz, just an observation)

You know it when you see it. I don’t have a particular stance on ethanol subsidies (RFS)* but if the feds mandate it, it’s probably a bad and expensive idea, but that’s not the point of this post.

Donald Trump said Tuesday that federal regulators should increase the amount of ethanol blended into the nation’s gasoline supply.

Speaking at an event hosted by the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, Trump, a real estate mogul and the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, said the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ought to follow the ethanol volumes Congress set in 2007.

“The EPA should ensure that biofuel … blend levels match the statutory level set by Congress under the [renewable fuel standard],” Trump said Here…

When Donald Trump calls for more ethanol subsidies while he is in Iowa it’s obvious he is pandering for votes in the Iowa Caucuses. I guess that’s why I don’t trust The Donald, like a normal politician he will say or do anything to get elected.
Seems like the same-same we already have in Washington not something a true champion of conservative principles would do, just a champion of the people….in that state….for votes….and endorsements.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because it is. Here….

2002: Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) signs a letter declaring that the ethanol subsidies were “equivalent to a new tax” on gasoline and that there is “no sound public policy reason for mandating the use of ethanol.” Five years later, she visits Iowa as a candidate for president. While there, she announces that the U.S. needs to work on “limiting our dependence on foreign oil. And we have a perfect example right here in Iowa about how it can work with all of the ethanol that’s being produced here.”29

2003: Senator John McCain (R-AZ) says: “Plain and simple, the ethanol program is highway robbery perpetrated on the American public by Congress.” Three years later, McCain visits Iowa as a candidate for president. While there, he calls ethanol “a vital alternative energy source not only because of our dependency on foreign oil but its greenhouse gas reduction effects.”30

2005: Senator John Thune (R-SD) says that ethanol “reduces our dependence on foreign sources of oil and is an important weapon in the War on Terror.”31

2006: Actor Robert Redford says that he supports corn ethanol production: “It’s cheaper. It’s cleaner. It’s renewable. And you know what? It’s American because we grow it.”32

2007: In a speech announcing his plan to run for the White House, Barack Obama declares his support for “homegrown, alternative fuels like ethanol.”

That’s some pretty lousy company he’s keeping, but one politician is standing his ground.

However, Sen. Ted Cruz has broken ranks to criticize farmers’ welfare and he holds a narrow lead over Donald Trump in the upcoming caucuses. (Sen. Rand Paul also flunks the ethanol lobby’s test, but he remains far back in the race.) Cruz’s political strength has dismayed ethanol makers. The group America’s Renewable Future, whose state director is the governor’s son, is deploying 22 staffers in the presidential campaign. Some 50,000 people have signed up, saying that they will only back a friend of the ethanol lobby.

Give Ted Cruz his due, ethanol appears to be one issue on which he put principle before politics. Irrespective of his presidential ambitions, we all would benefit if Iowans engaged in a little political regicide against King Ethanol. here…

Just sayin’.

*RFS: Ethanol subsidies began in 1978 and used to include a high tariff and benefit from generous tax credits, both of which expired at the end of 2011. However, the Renewable Fuel Standard, which requires blending ethanol with gasoline, operates as a huge industry subsidy. Robert Bryce of the Manhattan Institute figured the requirement cost drivers more than $10 billion since 2007.

Now You Know Why

Now You Know Why

He may be an arrogant ass but this is one of the reasons why Trump is doing well, he has no worries about pissing off the press regardless of the network. Well played Donald.

Get Off My Lawn!

Get Off My Lawn!

Excellent piece on Trump and the GOP establishment….

“Those are the assets he has to leverage. The opportunities he is exploiting are immigration, the media culture, discontent with the Republican establishment and widespread angst about the culture and economy. My guess is he never had strong views on any of these things. He may not even have had opinions about them until now. He’s just a guy who is good at seeing and exploiting opportunities.

I think this is why the GOP is looking so silly trying to swat away Trump. They are used to dealing with people who fear nothing more than separation from the heard. Trump is not knocking on their door asking to join the club. He’s out on the lawn throwing rocks through the window because that’s where the opportunity lies. John McCain leaning out the window in his nightshirt and cap, yelling at Trump to get off his lawn is what Trump wants. It plays to his advantage.” Here….

Give ’em What They Deserve

Give ’em What They Deserve

I don’t know what you kids think but the Republicans put in office by a fed up population in 2014 have been an abysmal failure. Nothing, and I mean nothing that they campaigned on has come to pass. They blame it on the Democrats outmaneuvering them, or nervous about upsetting the delicate balance between acting tough and given a complimentary meaningless vote to say that they were.

This charade that is the GOP is getting old and tired. It seems we are constantly asking what the hell just happened as they hand Obama another victory or cave in to the PC cops. Instead of sending the military in to take a corrupt and failed POTUS out of office, they instead bitch in the press about their anger over Obama policy, then go to dinner/lunch/brunch/golfing/plane rides to foreign countries on Air Force One with the same man they had just bashed in the press. It’s all a lie and I for one am damn tired of it.

So the reward the GOP should be given for all of their hard work is a Donald Trump candidate. The debates would be must watch and I do believe he would make Hillary cry, but the GOP have not done anything to deserve their establishment candidate. The proof is in the pudding  and so far nothing.

So fuck ’em…..let Trump drive them crazy. Not so funny when the roles are reversed is it shit heads, and our votes actually count.
