A Lie Is Not A Lie If You Tell It Enough
Lessons Learned And Ignored
As a kid I learned lessons the hard way, the school of hard knocks is a rough way to go, so I tried not to make those mistakes again. And I taught my kids what I learned to hopefully keep them from having to go through what I went through. It seems as though Washington DC and the Obama administration have not looked at lessons learned. They choose to ignore them, even as the City of Detroit gives them a blueprint of what not to do, they press on towards the destruction of the country. Sad but true.
The biggest problem with the city of Detroit is that they are not solving any of their problems. They are keeping high tax rates and are continuing to spend more money than they take in. Taxes need to be cut and government needs to be reduced in size and made more efficient. The city should encourage responsibility. Instead of throwing money at all of its problems, Detroit needs better leadership. Corrupt politicians have failed the city for years. It needs its councilmen to step up to the plate and solve its problems.
A federal bailout wouldn’t be the kind of help Detroit really needs. It would take money from taxpaying citizens and then give it to the most fiscally irresponsible city in the country. It would also encourage the same tax and spend policies that Detroit has used in its past. The heavy spending Keynesian policies Detroit used made the city collapse. Detroit could recover quickly, if they reversed their harmful and irresponsible fiscal policies. The bankruptcy of Detroit is a warning to the rest of America. If you don’t keep up with your finances, they will eventually catch up to you.

Obamas ATF Strikes Again
And they want all of your personal information and medical records….I think not!
Government agents acting without authorization conducted dozens of undercover investigations of illegal tobacco sales, misused some of $162 million in profits from the stings and lost track of at least 420 million cigarettes, the Justice Department’s inspector general said Wednesday.
In one case, agents for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives sold $15 million in cigarettes and later turned over $4.9 million in profits from the sales to a confidential informant — even though the agency did not properly account for the transaction.
The ATF’s newly-appointed director, B. Todd Jones, said the audit covered only selected, “historical” ATF investigations between 2006 and 2011, and said the agency had tightened its internal guidelines since then.
The audit described widespread lack of ATF oversight and inadequate paperwork in the agency’s “churning investigations,” undercover operations that use proceeds from illicit cigarette sales to pay for the ATF’s costs. The audit came as a new blow to a beleaguered agency still reeling from congressional inquiries into the ATF’s flawed handling of the Operation Fast and Furious weapons tracking probes in Mexico.

Proof Positive Obama Has ZERO Control When Arming The Syrian Rebels
Found at Weasel Zippers, this will make your head explode.
While John McCain continues to call for US aid to the Free Syrian Army stating that they are moderates and there is NO way that the weapons or aid would fall into Al-Qaeda fighters hands, well here are a few happy terrorists, ( apparently they think they are #1), in Syria enjoying a new USAID tent and I assume a new RPG compliments of the US taxpayer.
Unfreakin real.

All of this while McCain is promoting Obamacare on the Senate floor after Ted Cruz’s 21 hour filibuster.
Finally Time Mag Gets It Right
I was a bit concerned about the GOP eating their own but I think McCain fell off that train years ago.
A lengthy profile on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) in the October issue of GQ may compound his already-contentious relationship with Sen. John McCain (R-AZ).
In the piece by Jason Zengerle, an adviser to McCain explained the Arizona senator’s aversion to Cruz.
“He fucking hates Cruz,” the adviser told Zengerle. “He’s just offended by his style.”
But Cruz made it clear that he’s no fan of McCain either with a thinly veiled shot at the 2008 GOP presidential nominee.
“I don’t know a conservative who didn’t feel embarrassed voting in 2006 or 2008,” Cruz said. “I think the Republican Party lost its way. We didn’t stand for the principles we’re supposed to believe in.”
McCain went after both Cruz and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) earlier this year over their criticism of U.S. drone policy, calling the two junior senators “wacko birds.” More recently, McCain has criticized Cruz for leading the quixotic effort to defund Obamacare and risk a government shutdown.
The Arizona senator said last week it is “not rational” to believe that Senate will repeal the new health care law.

A Question Of True Leadership
Call him what you want but Putin has a grasp on HIS countries values. As most of you over the age of 50 understand Russia was/is our enemy, maybe not at cold war standards, but still a geo-political enemy.
It goes against everything I was raised to believe that Americans should trust Russia, that being said, Putin seems to be more worried about his country than Obama cares about his. He may be a tyrant, maybe even holds true the values of communism, but he is a leader. Whether you can trust anything he says is irrelevant, he is a strong leader, something we are sorely lacking in todays America. And I agree with this graphic, Obama could learn a few things from him.
Don’t mistake my praise as admiration, it is not, it is simply a perception of leadership, right or wrong the man is decisive.
