High Anxiety

High Anxiety

You don’t get to play in the sand box, you have no legal say in Texas law.

Mexico filed an affidavit Monday in support of a lawsuit against the implementation of a Texas law to punish sanctuary cities and allow police officers to inquire about the immigration status of someone they have arrested or detained.

The Mexican government said in a statement that the law could increase racial discrimination and create an environment of persecution.

The statement said that the number of calls to the center for information and assistance for Mexicans in Texas in May and June increased 678 percent compared to the year prior. This is reflexive of the uncertainty and “anguish” that the Mexican community in Texas has felt due to the law.

If you are calling the the center for information for assistance you are probably looking for ways around the law because you are here illegally. Mexico is more worried about their citizens who are in the US illegally than they are about the ones that are still in Mexico, any body else see a problem with that?

Short Cuts

Short Cuts

A few thoughts on immigration, legal and illegal, to these United States.

Americans have been through hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, fires, and other natural disasters since before and after America became a nation. Americans have been through wars both foreign and domestic, they have been through depressions, bank failures, a market crash, and other economic turmoils. Through all of the struggles America and it’s people became the most prosperous on the planet.

Americans built an industrial giant, private business both large and small have provided the American people a means to chase their dreams if you’re willing to work for it. America has thousands of cities and towns with infrastructure built over decades for the convenience of it’s population. Generations of Americans have had a part in building this country. Your parents, grandparents, and their grand parents have their imprint on what this country is, and it didn’t come easy or cheap.

Immigrants, (legal or illegal), are leaving their home land to take advantage of what America has become. They’re leaving their homelands because their ancestors weren’t willing or able to build what America has. They aren’t willing to stay and make their countries better, they want to take a short cut and reap the benefits of what Americans have built. They want to jump to the front of the line and enjoy the running water and asphalt roads their countries don’t have, the grocery stores filled with food, the safety of a moral society, the welfare of a generous nation.

Living in this country is a privilege. Legal immigration should be extremely difficult, expensive, and assimilation should be demanded, not assumed.

Illegal immigration should be eliminated, not because I’m against somebody trying to chase the American dream, but because they haven’t paid the generational price it took build this country, the lives lost, the treasure paid, and the human capitol invested in OUR country. My family tree dates back pre- revolutionary war, their sacrifices as well millions of other families built the country in the pursuit of happiness promised them as Americans.

Swimming a river and demanding rights in this country is insulting to the generations of Americans who built it. If your country and countrymen aren’t willing to build your own homeland what makes you think you can take advantage of ours? If your ancestors couldn’t provide a stable land to live in what gives you the right to ours?

The simple answer….you have no right to America and it’s prosperity. Go back home and do what your ancestors refused to do, make your homeland a better place to live, leave ours alone.

Piñatas Revenge

Piñatas Revenge

A top Mexican official on Tuesday said that Mexico may consider charging a fee for Americans entering the country in what could be seen as a retaliation to President Trump’s call for a border wall. Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray, in a meeting with Mexico’s top legislators, called Trump’s plan an “unfriendly, hostile” act, and called on his colleagues to consider the entry fee.

“We could explore — not necessarily a visa, that could impede a lot of people from coming to Mexico — but we could perhaps (have) a fee associated with entry,” Videgaray said. “This is something that I’m sure will be part of our discussion, and I believe we can find points of agreement.”

Videgaray went on to say that Mexico would not pay a cent toward the wall. He said if talks between the U.S. and Mexico fail to satisfy both countries, the Mexican government would consider reducing security cooperation.

“If the negotiation on other themes — immigration, the border, trade — isn’t satisfactory to Mexico’s interests, we will have to review our existing cooperation,” Videgaray said.     here…

“Review our existing cooperation”? You don’t cooperate, you export your people to America so they can repatriate billions thus propping up your corrupt third world economy. And as far as charging a “fee” to get into your wretched country, knock yourselves out, should do wonders for the tourist industry that continues to shrink because you can’t hide all the bodies piling up in Cabo and Mazatlan. Yeah, charge that fee Luis.

“There’s no question but that Obama would have been a one-term president but for Teddy Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act. Mitt Romney got a larger percentage of the white vote than Ronald Reagan did in 1980. But the country has changed so dramatically and so intentionally and artificially by government policy, that Democrats have an enormous leg up now. And if things aren’t done, you can say ‘adios’ to whatever your pet issue is, whether it is abortion or the budget or taxes or guns. Get ready to lose, because Democrats decided, ‘Sorry, America, we tried this the easy way. We tried to get you to vote for us, but you wouldn’t, so we brought in ringers. And they’re gonna be voting, tens and tens of millions of them’.”

Crossing Guards

Crossing Guards

Growing up in small town America in the 70’s we never locked our doors at night, as a matter of fact I never had a house key as a kid, didn’t need one. If I remember right we had a key hidden at the back door by the rock next to the first bush left side of the door under a potted plant, the only potted plant in that area. Basically if you were a thief looking for the house key my folks all but laid out a map. I think the only time the house was locked was when we left town and the key was for the neighbor to feed the dog.312ac9cf3439eb8d1ba0b92a297c89bd

We didn’t have adult crossing guards, in elementary school the fifth graders were given the task of getting kids across the streets safely. I guess school officials figured 10 year olds were bright enough to know how to shuttle the urchins back and forth at the crossings. It was considered quite the honor to be the crossing guard, to wear the orange vest with the hand held stop sign, it was a big deal.
What a small but meaningful way to understand responsibility, I don’t recall anyone ever getting hit at a crossing and we had some damn
busy roads.

We didn’t havcover_9360912e cops in our schools, there was no need. The teachers and staff were there to handle any problems but we didn’t need law enforcement. High school kids would skip class, smoke in the parking lot and get in fights but it was all handled by the students themselves or the teachers. It was innocent and obnoxious trouble making but we never wished we had a cop around.

We were raised to not be afraid, to be responsible, and have the ability to handle our own problems. We learned that the society we lived in had laws and we were taught to adhere to those laws or face the consequences. There were also the unspoken rules, respect your elders, hold a door open for the ladies, don’t hit girls, and don’t swear in front of Mom.
We lived by the rules, didn’t seem that difficult.

When people don’t abide by the laws of the land and choose to not follow the rules then society breaks down. When a Mohamed shoots up a company Christmas party, or a couple of illegal immigrant adult males rape a 14 year old girl, or a black man attacks a cop after robbing a store, you kinda get the feeling that society has got a problem. But here’s a little secret, Mohamed, Jose, and Deontre’ don’t care about the rules. Each individual was raised a certain way and follows the rules they have learned from childhood to adult, the individuals mentioned above obviously didn’t learn the same lessons as I did growing up.

These are the people that liberals put on a pedestal, the kind of people liberals don’t want banned, the kind of people that liberals want crossing our borders, the kind of people that are the handiwork of our union run public schools, the kind of people who don’t follow our laws because they have their own culture that has it’s own laws.

We used to have wonderful country where for the most part, other than the crazies, people followed societies laws whether written or unspoken. Unfortunately our elected officials have chosen that diversity is the future regardless of the casualties.

We lock our doors now, even when we’re home.

Mexico Governors Demand “Rights” For Illegals In US

Mexico Governors Demand “Rights” For Illegals In US

The head of Mexico’s governors’ association will lodge a complaint with the Organization of American States Saturday accusing President Trump of human rights violations, demanding the OAS help ensure protections for migrants facing raids or deportation from the U.S.

The Washington Times goes on to report that the complaint will be delivered personally, and that the governors also issued a lot of palaver about the economic importance of the border, meaning, open border on the north side (just try to get past a Mexican immigration officer without papers going south) as somehow necessary for both countries.

So now the big concern for the OAS is “human rights” according to these governors. Not the human rights of having to live in Mexico, which is so corrupt and crime-ridden that schoolyard kids are exposed to beheadings, the Mexico of hanging bodies on bridges, or the Mexico of mass graves, often of migrants. Or, the Mexico where governors are found complicit at least in the mass disappearance of college students, as happened a couple years ago. No, the human rights violation here is the election of Donald Trump, his effort to enforce U.S. law and apparently, a newly carved out human “right” to be an illegal immigrant with no detention.  keep reading….

For comparison, below is a story from a few years back about an American working LEGALLY in Mexico and the hoops you have to jump through to LEGALLY work in Mexico. Obviously the “Rights” these governors of Mexico are worried about are very one sided.

I spent five years working in Mexico.

I worked under a tourist visa for three months and could legally renew it for three more months. After that you were working illegally. I was technically illegal for three weeks waiting on the FM3 approval.

During that six months our Mexican and US Attorneys were working to secure a permanent work visa called a FM3. It was in addition to my US passport that I had to show each time I entered and left the country. Barbara’s was the same except hers did not permit her to work.

To apply for the FM3 I needed to submit the following notarized originals (not copies) of my:

1. Birth certificates for Barbara and me.

2. Marriage certificate.

3. High school transcripts and proof of graduation.

4. College transcripts for every college I attended and proof of graduation.

5. Two letters of recommendation from supervisors I had worked for at least one year.

6. A letter from The ST. Louis Chief of Police indicating I had no arrest record in the US and no outstanding warrants and was “a citizen in good standing.”

7. Finally; I had to write a letter about myself that clearly stated why there was no Mexican citizen with my skills and why my skills were important to Mexico. We called it our “I am the greatest person on earth” letter. It was fun to write.

All of the above were in English that had to be translated into Spanish and be certified as legal translations and our signatures notarized. It produced a folder about 1.5 inches thick with English on the left side and Spanish on the right.

Once they were completed Barbara and I spent about five hours accompanied by a Mexican attorney touring Mexican government office locations and being photographed and fingerprinted at least three times. At each location (and we remember at least four locations) we were instructed on Mexican tax, labor, housing, and criminal law and that we were required to obey their laws or face the consequences.  keep reading….

Beast of Burden

Beast of Burden

“In Obama’s first year in office, the United States resettled three-quarters of Iraqi refugees.

71% of Iraqi refugees are receiving cash assistance. 82% are on Medicaid and 87% are on food stamps. Compare those atrocious numbers to only 17% of Cubans on cash assistance and 16% on Medicaid.

It should be obvious why Obama shut the door on Cuban refugees while holding it wide open for Syrian Muslims (but closing it tightly on Syrian Christians), Iraqis and Somalis (77.4% food stamp use).”    here….

And The Truth Comes Out

Jorge Ramos is the voice for Mexicans and Latin America in the U.S., he is wildly popular as a reporter for Univision and appears on FOX news frequently. One would think he would pick his words carefully but Trump has him so pissed off Ramos is saying what he really thinks and he thinks the United States belongs to Mexicans.  H/T Gateway Pundit for the story

United States begins enforcing existing immigration laws, number of asylum seekers/illegal immigrants from South America doubles on Canada’s southern border.

Canada will continue to accept asylum seekers crossing illegally from the United States but will ensure security measures are taken to keep Canadians safe, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Tuesday.

The number of would-be refugees crossing into Canada at isolated and unguarded border crossings has increased in recent weeks amid fears that U.S. President Donald Trump will crack down on illegal immigrants, and photos of smiling Canadian police greeting the migrants have gone viral.
