Sage Advice

Lessons from the past seem doomed to stay there, this little nugget was penned in 1916. With the SOTU coming up tonight, it reminds me of how far our politicians have lost their way.

Smoke & Mirrors

Bloomberg is calling for immigration reform and he is doing it at the mayors US Chamber of Commerce event. The same Chamber of Commerce that is throwing campaign money at GOP establishment politicians to battle Tea Party candidates…go figure. That fact alone shows you what agenda these guys are pursuing. Don’t fall for the lies, this is all smoke and mirrors to keep the flow of cash running smoothly into Washington and eventually into their own pockets.
________________________________________________________________________

The following are Mike Bloomberg’s remarks as prepared for delivery at the Immigration Reform: Outlook 2014 event at the National Press Club.

The one thing, all kidding aside, that hasn’t changed and won’t: I’m going to keep pressing Washington to act on the issues that matter most when it comes to keeping America competitive, and America safe, and America strong, and few things matter as much as immigration. (Wrong dipshit, jobs and a thriving economy is what is important, immigration reform pales in comparison.)

I have said repeatedly, our current immigration laws are “national suicide” (Really? And how exactly is putting 12 million new people on the books good for us?)

Because I see industry after industry, company after company, school after school improving overseas, and if we don’t do something, we’re going to find ourselves someday on the backside of the curve, and it’s very hard to play catch up in this world. (Bullshit, prove it. Which countries are you referring too?)

We all agree that we need stronger borders and better enforcement. (No shit Sherlock) But we also agree that turning away foreign-born innovators and entrepreneurs and the best and brightest immigrant students educated here – is about the worst economic policy anybody could possibly have. (So we have been turning away scientists and surgeons? Doubt it. The argument is over the immigrants that would land on our welfare system and in out prisons…not nuclear physicist you dumbass)

The good news is that at the state level people like Governor Snyder and our governor in New York understand that they have an obligation to do everything they can to urge Congress because it is a federal law that needs to be passed (Really more federal law, they aren’t enforcing the immigration laws that we have in place now.)

It’s encouraging that Speaker Boehner and House Leadership will set up a set of principles for immigration reform that will be released soon. (Great, the GOP is getting on board, guess the Chamber of Commerce backing RINO’s removed whatever spines they had left.)

The principles they’ll lay out won’t satisfy everybody – as someone once said, Democracy is that we try to get to the middle and that everyone should walk away with something, and you never want to walk away with everything, because next time you won’t get anything. (Oh I see, give a little here, and get something in return, isn’t that what happened when Reagan negotiated amnesty? Washington promised future spending cuts after amnesty was passed, and remind me again what happened? Oh that’s right…NOTHING!)

Bloomberg is in bed with the GOP establishment and like minded Democrats because basically they have become one and the same. He is using his money to rattle sabers against Tea Party politicians and is looking for support from perceived GOP allies. Like I said kids….smoke and mirrors.

Government Is An Obstacle, Not A Solution

Government Is An Obstacle, Not A Solution

The proper way to let the economy function is to get government the hell out of the way. Friedman puts it more eloquently than I can but you get the point. Healthcare in this country would look vastly different if government regulations had not superseded competition years ago.
“I do not believe it’s proper to put the situation in the terms that it’s industrialists versus government. On the contrary, one of the reasons why I am in favor of less government is because when you have more government, industrialists take it over, and the two together form a coalition against the ordinary worker and the ordinary consumer. I think business is a wonderful institution, provided it has to face competition in the marketplace and can’t get away with something except by producing a better something at a lower cost, and that’s why I don’t want government to step in and help the business community.

All in a day’s work

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state.

The first is the most important.

1) Healthcare –
Control healthcare and you control the people

2) Poverty –
Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3) Debt –
Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control –
Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare –
Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)

6) Education –
Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion –
Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools

8) Class Warfare –
Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Americas Changing Landscape

Americas Changing Landscape

In my earlier post I ranted about Jeh Johnson and his lying and misplaced beliefs about immigration.

How about some facts:

In March, the Latino population in California will overtake the white population, according to a report in Gov. Jerry Brown‘s 2014-15 budget proposal. The date was pushed back from the initial date that was supposed to be seven months before because the Latino birth rate was not quite as high as previously suggested. In March, Latinos will comprise 39% of the state’s population; whites will number 38.8%. – http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/01/16/Latinos-to-Outnumer-Whites-in-California-Rise: Demographers had thought the swelling numbers of Hispanics and Asians meant they would take over by 2023 (posed by models)by-March

  • Demographers had thought they would take over by 2023
  • Adult and child minorities will outnumber whites By 2042
  • Data shows white children are now a minority in 10 states
  • Rising numbers of minorities put pressure on schools
  • More than half of Latino children never finish education

White children will be outnumbered by ethnic minorities in America before the end of the decade, official figures have revealed. Demographers had thought the swelling numbers of Hispanics and Asians meant they would take over by 2023. But having seen the latest statistics – and the change already taking place in schools and playgrounds – they are now convinced it will happen as early as 2019.

By 2042 minorities will outnumber whites across the entire population, both adult and children. The figures show the extent to which the higher birth rates and the relentless tide of immigration is leading to a change in the make-up of the American people. Experts said the numbers were ‘demographically urgent’ and emphasised the need to address the issue. Rising numbers of minorities put pressure on schools at a time when budgets are under threat and teachers are being cut.  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1374041/Hispanic-Asian-children-outnumber-white-kids-US-end-decade.html#ixzz2rXKzGx00

At one time, violent crimes attributed to Mexican and Central American gangs were largely confined to Los Angeles. However, just as illegal aliens have spread across this country, so too has a veritable crime wave. We are now experiencing the early stages of the most violent gang epidemic we have ever seen.

While L.A. may be ground zero for Latino gangs such as MS-13, other cities are being victimized as well, and not only by MS-13 and not only in large cities. http://www.examiner.com/article/latin-american-gangs-are-taking-over-our-streets

Obama DHS Head Says Illegals Have “Earned Right” To Be Citizens

Obama DHS Head Says Illegals Have “Earned Right” To Be Citizens

I don’t get it, I don’t understand it, and I am more than pissed off about it. How can anyone in their right minds consider giving 12 million illegal aliens amnesty a good thing for America?
Jeh Johnson is basically spewing the left propaganda that has been laid out by Obama and his liberal asshats. The phrase “earned the right” and “come out of the shadows” has been long the mantra of the left to try and gin up compassion for amnesty.

Number one, an illegal alien has not earned anything, as criminals here illegally in this country you have NO rights whatsoever, never had any. Just because you can swim a river, jump a fence, or forge documents does not earn you jack shit. Number two, they are not “in the shadows”, they are claiming injustice in not being granted citizenship, they are on our welfare system, educated in our schools, and get free healthcare for just showing up at the emergency room.

America has enough low skilled and uneducated people already dragging this country down. Twelve million more will only make matters worse, no matter what this Obama jock swinger claims. Damn this chaps my ass!
______________________________________________________________________

(CNSNews.com) – Speaking at the United States Conference of Mayors on Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said the approximately 11 million people who are in the country illegally have “earned the right to be citizens.”  – (Wrong, they have ZERO rights…period!)

“An earned path to citizenship for those currently present in this country is a matter of, in my view, homeland security to encourage people to come out from the shadows,” It is also, frankly, in my judgment, a matter of who we are as Americans,” he said, “to offer the opportunity to those who want to be citizens, who’ve earned the right to be citizens, who are present in this country–many of whom came here as children–to have the opportunity that we all have to try to become American citizens.”  – (What? if you were born an American citizen it is not considered an “opportunity”, it is our God given right. Your statement is a false narrative and you should never be taken seriously)

Johnson, who had earlier served as general counsel for the Department of Defense under Obama from 2009 to 2012, told the more than 270 mayors in attendance that enforcing immigration law was one of the main missions of DHS.  – (How is this true? Obama has granted defacto amnesty already by halting deportations and by executive fiat, installing portions of the Dream Act)

“Common sense immigration reform is supported by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, businesses, and if the polls (are) to be believed, the majority of the American people,” Johnson said. “Border security is inseparable from homeland security.”  – (You are lying through your teeth Mr. Johnson, there is NO such thing as border security right now so you are failing in your position already, and the majority of Americans want something done about immigration, not amnesty. Two completely different things you blowhard!)

The Affirmative Action President

The Affirmative Action President

This is the first time I have seen this piece. It is very well done and accurately describes my feelings of our current POTUS. Many of you have probably read this, and for those who have not..read it. It is making the rounds on blogs lately so I posted Snopes findings of its origins to eliminate confusion.

Snopes – Origins:   The opinion piece referenced above was penned by Matt Patterson and was published (under the title “Obama: The Affirmative Action President”) on the American Thinker web site on 18 August 2011. Although the important “who” of the attribution is correct, however, the “where” is incorrect: despite the mention of the Washington Post in the example cited above, this item was never published in either the print or online version of that newspaper (nor, as claimed in later versions, was it published in Newsweek magazine).

By Matt Patterson (Opinion Writer)

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack 0bama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world’s largest economy, direct the world’s most powerful military, execute the world’s most consequential job?

Imagine a future historian examining 0bama’s pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League, despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a “community organizer;” a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, less often did he vote “present”); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.
