All It Takes Is One Strong Voice

All It Takes Is One Strong Voice

It pissed me off watching Rep. Elijah Cummings and  Rep. Gerry McDonnell talk down to Catherine Englebrecht. The only thing she is trying to do is point out the corruption. These gentlemen should remember their place before millions decide to show them the door.

Not Even A Smidgen Of Corruption

Not Even A Smidgen Of Corruption

Bullshit! Take 7 minutes and listen to this video from yesterdays hearings. That smug asshole Elijah Cummings attacked her group personally. I wish every individual who has been persecuted had her strength and courage to stand up. Well done Catherine, I have a new hero.

“Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government, and with three little words: ‘We the People.’ ‘We the People’ tell the government what to do; it doesn’t tell us. ‘We the People’ are the driver; the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world’s constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which ‘We the People’ tell the government what it is allowed to do. ‘We the People’ are free. This belief has been the underlying basis for everything I’ve tried to do these past 8 years.”

The Torrid Spin Of The Left – 2.5 Million Free Agents

The Torrid Spin Of The Left – 2.5 Million Free Agents

Notice how the left had their marching orders immediately after the disastrous CBO report came out? From the Obama regime on down Democrats at all levels were speaking the same language like “job lock” or  “free agents”,  and “more time to spend with family”. For one thing, I have never heard the words “job lock” or “free agent” mentioned when it comes to the economy or the labor force….ever. Secondly, who in their right mind would think that this tactic would work? Talk about trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes, my goodness.

If you listen to the spin coming from Obama and his minions, you are the lucky ones. You now have the wonderful option of not working because your healthcare has been paid for. Apparently it doesn’t matter who pays for this new luxury, they just want all of us to know that all is well. This is the brave new world of the “free agent” where a person no longer feels the need to be “job locked” having to deal with the real world of the employed. Oh praise be Obama!

Well it doesn’t work that way nor should it. As I mentioned earlier the government should be doing everything in their power to get these people BACK to work, not praising the opportunity to get out of it. If you don’t beleive me maybe you would listen to someone a bit more famous than myself. This is what President Abe Lincoln thought about labor:

The prudent, penniless beginner in the world, labors for wages awhile, saves a surplus with which to buy tools or land, for himself; then labors on his own account another while, and at length hires another new beginner to help him. This, say its advocates, is free labor—the just and generous, and prosperous system, which opens the way for all—gives hope to all, and energy, and progress, and improvement of condition to all.” The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln edited by Roy P. Basler, Volume III, “Address before the Wisconsin State Agricultural Society, Milwaukee, Wisconsin” (September 30, 1859), pp. 478-479.

Enough said, don’t fall for the rainbow of lies Obama and his useful idiots pull out of their collective asses.

Portland Community Organizers Organize The Loss Of Business/Jobs

Portland Community Organizers Organize The Loss Of Business/Jobs

The sad part, the organizers don’t live in the area, yet their concerns demands stop Trader Joes from opening a store that would have brought jobs and business revenue to a depressed area in Portland. And the ultimate irony, the site they were going to build on….a vacant two acre lot on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. You just can’t make this stuff up.

Trader Joe’s wanted to build a new store in Portland, Oregon. Instead of heading to a tiny neighborhood downtown or towards the suburbs, the popular West Coast grocer chose a struggling area of Northeast Portland. trader_joes_exterior

The company selected two acres along Martin Luther King Blvd. that had been vacant for decades. It seemed like the perfect place to create jobs, improve customer options and beautify the neighborhood. City officials, the business community, and residents all seemed thrilled with the plan. Then some community organizers caught wind of it.

The fact that most members of the Portland African-American Leadership Forum didn’t live in the neighborhood was beside the point. “This is a people’s movement for African-Americans and other communities, for self-determination,” member Avel Gordly said in a press conference. Even the NAACP piled on, railing against the project as a “case study in gentrification.” (The area is about 25 percent African-American.) (Gentrification? Give me a break, you just tossed away jobs for your community you asshats.)

After a few months of racially tinged accusations and angry demands,Trader Joe’s decided it wasn’t worth the hassle. “We run neighborhood stores and our approach is simple, if a neighborhood does not want a Trader Joe’s, we understand, and we won’t open the store in question.” (Well done PAALF, you saved the community)

Hours after Trader Joe’s pulled out, PAALF leaders arrived at a previously scheduled press conference trying to process what just happened. The group re-issued demands that the now-cancelled development include affordable housing, mandated jobs based on race, and a small-business slush fund. Instead, the only demand being met is two fallow acres and a lot of anger from the people who actually live nearby. (A little caught by surprise boy’s? It’s true some people don’t cave in to unwarranted and unnecessary demands.)

chicago_chow_trader_joes_or_we_p4“There are no winners today,” said Adam Milne, owner of an area restaurant. “Only missed tax revenue, lost jobs, less foot traffic, an empty lot and a boulevard still struggling to support its local small businesses.” The store was to be built by a local African American-owned construction company. (They don’t seem to happy with the outcome boy’s)

Artist Kymberly Jeka insisted “this is not what the neighborhood people want. This is terrible.”

Nice job you idiots.  Just because you have the Community Organizer and Chief in the White House, doesn’t mean you can toss your weight around making outlandish demands. To bad for that community, maybe you can get Obama to toss you an executive order demanding Trader Joe’s to change their minds.

Police Discover Generational Fraud By Democratic Official

Police Discover Generational Fraud By Democratic Official

Not surprising, the nanny state has continued the graft of buying votes by handing out free shit for generations, and the takers have all the time in the world to figure out how to take advantage of the process. It is a quid pro quo agreement, vote Democrat and we will feed, clothe, shelter, and educate your kids. What a scam.

Either Luvina Smith really had the munchies after all that pot and needed 5 food stamp cards to cover her appetite… or she was taking the food stamp cards in trade for drugs.1390601130000-Luvina-Smith-450x337-300x224

A local government official was busted for drug procession last week and police say she had five EBT cards with her. Those cards were sent to the Department of Agriculture as a part of a federal investigation into possible food stamp fraud.

Possible? Is there any way that having five EBT cards isn’t fraud?

The Deputy Clerk for Alorton, Luvina Smith, was arrested a week ago in Brooklyn, charged with marijuana possession, after police say they found a quarter pound of pot in the car she was driving. Police also took five government EBT cards from her.

“In a lot of cases that we’ve seen the person who receives the benefits will relinquish their card and that pin number, and that gives the dealer the opportunity to call and make sure there’s money on it and they’ll just hang on to the card until the benefit comes through and then receive whatever the dealer may be dealing,” said Chief Tomlinson.

Multigenerational welfare, always a good thing.

When it comes to crime, Smith, a convicted felon, learned from one of Alorton’s legendary criminals; her own mother, longtime mayor Callie Mobley, who was prosecuted for stealing from the village. She eventually served two years in prison for income tax evasion.

Time we had some serious entitlement changes. I try not to use “reform” because that just seems to be a political buzzword word for “we will take it under consideration for a few decades”. If these people are going to take advantage like this, time to take it away!
