Cancer Patient Denied Lifesaving Medication Due To Obamacare

Cancer Patient Denied Lifesaving Medication Due To Obamacare

The Affordable Death Act seems to be doing what the Republicans claimed it would do. If 2014 does not give the GOP both houses, we will know that America cannot be saved.

In an emotional Sunday Wall Street Journal editorial, Ralston College President Stephen Blackwood wrote that Obamacare has made his mother’s cancer battle a nightmare that will “accelerate her disease and death.” He detailed how her Obamacare plan no longer covers the cost of her essential Sandostatin cancer medication, which totaled $14,000 since January 1 alone.

Blackwood said his mother, Catherine, had a “terrific” Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan for almost 20 years until Obamacare canceled it. After navigating the “bureaucratic morass” of enrolling in Obamacare, Blackwood says his mother was informed that “the only way to find out in detail what was in the plan was to buy the plan.”

What happened next, writes Blackwood, was shocking.

“Then on Feb. 12, just before going into (yet another) surgery, she was informed by Humana that it would not, in fact, cover her Sandostatin, or other cancer-related medications,” he explained. “The cost of the Sandostatin alone, since Jan. 1, was $14,000, and the company was refusing to pay.”

Blackwood added, “Obamacare made my mother’s old plan illegal, and it forced her to buy a new plan that would accelerate her disease and death…The ‘Affordable’ Care Act is a brutal, Procrustean disaster.” keep reading here

Common Sense 101

Common Sense 101

Immigration laws are the only laws that are discussed in terms of how to help people who break them. One of the big problems that those who are pushing “comprehensive immigration reform” want solved is how to help people who came here illegally and are now “living in the shadows” as a result.
What about embezzlers or burglars who are “living in the shadows” in fear that someone will discover their crimes? Why not “reform” the laws against embezzlement or burglary, so that such people can also come out of the shadows? – Thomas Sowell

Of course bringing the embezzlers and burglars out of the shadows would not guarantee them voting democrat….oh wait…what? Never mind.

Texas Police Take Down Dangerous Jaywalker

Texas Police Take Down Dangerous Jaywalker

Apparently this young lady was jogging across the street with headphones on, fortunately two of the cities finest were there to apprehend and arrest the pig tailed villain. Apparently she was asked for ID but was jogging and did not have any, therefore the arrest.

I usually don’t rag on cops but come on guys, don’t you think that was a little excessive.

A Texas woman was dragged screaming to a police car in Austin, Texas after being arrested for failing to provide ID while jaywalking. The woman, pulled to a police car in gym clothes, was captured on video shouting, “I didn’t do anything wrong.” A University of Texas Student filmed the police capturing the jogger and placing her in an officer’s car. keep reading

Obama Propaganda Arm Looks To Seize Media

Obama Propaganda Arm Looks To Seize Media

Is it just me or is this the most arrogant thing the Obama administration has tried to pull off to date? Will the liberal media continue sucking up to this dictator or will they finally see that full government control will also claim the useful idiot?

This is shocking to me. The balls to even make an attempt is amazing, the nonchalant way that they assume it can be done is more than alarming.

I read somewhere that “we are in an awkward time where it’s too late to vote and too early to start shooting.” I’m beginning to wonder about that.

Last May the FCC proposed an initiative to thrust the federal government into newsrooms across the country. With its “Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs,” or CIN, the agency plans to send researchers to grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run. A field test in Columbia, S.C., is scheduled to begin this spring.

The purpose of the CIN, according to the FCC, is to ferret out information from television and radio broadcasters about “the process by which stories are selected” and how often stations cover “critical information needs,” along with “perceived station bias” and “perceived responsiveness to underserved populations.”

Why Waste The Time?

Why Waste The Time?

I take the time to blog because of Andrew Breitbart. His passion and effort to expose the hypocrisy of the left moved me to start doing this. It was a dark day when we lost him. Blogging had nothing to do with the hope of money or fame, I just wanted to help out in any way that I could to get the word out. I don’t live back east, I don’t have contacts in the media or politics. I regurgitate sourced information that I find interesting, infuriating, or humorous. I have zero journalistic ability  but I do toss out some thoughts of my own periodically just to get something off my chest, makes me feel better.

So here’s to Andrew Breitbart and another example of the hypocrisy he wanted to expose because the MSM refused too!
