The Steady Decay

The Steady Decay

“In ten years’ time, there will be no American Dream, any more than there’s a Greek or Portuguese Dream. In twenty, you’ll be living the American Nightmare, with large tracts of the country reduced to the favelas of Latin America, the rich fleeing for Bermuda or New Zealand or wherever on the planet they can buy a little time, and the rest trapped in the impoverished, violent, diseased ruins of utopian vanity.”

The Three Steps

The Three Steps

There’s a pattern here if you look closely. This is a tried and true geopolitical strategy.

Step 1: Build up a dictator or extremist group which can then be used to wage proxy wars against opponents. During this stage any crimes committed by these proxies are swept under the rug. [Problem]

Step 2: When these nasty characters have outlived their usefulness, that’s when it’s time to pull out all that dirt from under the rug and start publicizing it 24/7. This obviously works best when the public has no idea how these bad guys came to power.[Reaction]

Step 3: Finally, when the public practically begging for the government to do something, a solution is proposed. Usually the solution involves military intervention, the loss of certain liberties, or both. [Solution]

The Ruling Elites Wasted War On Poverty

The Ruling Elites Wasted War On Poverty

Poor people are poor for three reasons. One is they are on the left side of the bell curve, in general. There are plenty of exceptions, but not being very bright is a hard thing to overcome and it always has been. Unless you plan to euthanize the stupid, the poor will always be with us.

Second, poor people make poor decisions. They are impulsive and want what they want when they want it. A poor person comes into money and buys a car, new clothes and drinks at the bar. Mr. Edsall comes into money and he calls his broker. Delayed gratification is punishment in the ghetto. In SWPL-ville, it is a virtue and one of the highest ones. You can never fix this, but you can mitigate it by not promoting ghetto parasites like the hip-hop community and much of Hollywood. Shame still works on poor people.

Finally, a lot of people like being working class. This is something the Hive never understands nor tolerates. They hate poor people and they really hate working class people. The poor are a constant reminder of their failure to reach Utopia. The working class are a rebuke to the Hive. These are people who could embrace the culture of the hive, but choose not too. They could watch the English Premier League, but prefer the NFL and NASCAR. That’s why the Left hates them. keep reading

A Backroom Strategy

A Backroom Strategy

This would answer a few questions. It’s all conjecture at this point but would certainly clear up a few things.

They DO have a strategy, but they prefer to appear indecisive.  That’s because the strategy would likely provoke even greater criticism than the false confession of endless dithering.

The actual strategy is detente first, and then a full alliance with Iran throughout the Middle East and North Africa.  It has been on display since before the beginning of the Obama administration.  During his first presidential campaign in 2008, Mr. Obama used a secret back channel to Tehran to assure the mullahs that he was a friend of the Islamic Republic, and that they would be very happy with his policies.  The secret channel was Ambassador William G. Miller, who served in Iran during the shah’s rule, as chief of staff for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and as ambassador to Ukraine.  Ambassador Miller has confirmed to me his conversations with Iranian leaders during the 2008 campaign.

Ever since, President Obama’s quest for an alliance with Iran has been conducted through at least four channels:  Iraq, Switzerland (the official U.S. representative to Tehran), Oman and a variety of American intermediaries, the most notable of whom is probably Valerie Jarrett, his closest adviser.  In recent months, Middle Eastern leaders reported personal visits from Ms. Jarrett, who briefed them on her efforts to manage the Iranian relationship.  This was confirmed to me by a former high-ranking American official who says he was so informed by several Middle Eastern leaders. keep reading

If we look at the current crisis through an Iranian lens, our apparent indecisiveness is easier to understand, for it systematically favors Iran’s interests. Tehran’s closest ally is Syrian dictator Bashar Assad. If Assad were to be overthrown by opposition forces hostile to Iran, it would be a devastating blow to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who has committed tens of thousands of fighters (from Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij) to shore up the Damascus regime. Everything Iran does in the region revolves around the necessity of preserving Assad’s tyranny.

It is even more unlikely that Mr. Obama and his spokespeople will confess to actually having a strategy, because of the political firestorm that would result. Better to be thought a fool than to remove all doubt, after all.

The Undocumented Child Scam

The Undocumented Child Scam

The U.S. Border Patrol has reported apprehension of 57,525 UACs in 2014, almost double the 2013 number. However another agency, the Executive Office for Immigration Review is tasked with actually confirming these numbers. It counts a total of 20,814, only slightly more than 2013, (20,778), and once again, most of these are not the young children the media has been showing heart-rending photos of. The fact is that there is no crisis of young, unaccompanied children flooding the border. There are entire families flooding the border.

Now we know why the administration was so secretive about how many “children” were being housed at facilities around the country and where they were being sent. They weren’t children at all. Have you noticed that there is not so much news in the media today about the border “crisis”? That is because the crisis in housing for nonexistent youths no longer exists, if it ever did.

So if the border crisis has gone away, why is Obama still hyperventilating about immigration “reform” and threatening “administrative amnesty” for up to 5 million? The answer: Democrats need those voters now more than ever. More and more Americans realize just how badly we are being ripped off. More and more, Americans are realizing just how far Obama will go to risk terrorist attack from unidentified foreign nationals penetrating our border in order to import the Democrats’ most promising future demographic.

If this isn’t treason, what is?

The Game Will Only Last So Long

The Game Will Only Last So Long

The nations of the world have become unstable, politically, militarily and economically. For one, the European Union and its Euro may dissolve for the oldest of reasons: a squabble over money. Like us, they can say debt is credit right up until the rent’s due, then they discover the insolvent can prop up the bankrupt only until somebody has to give something of value to get something of value. It’s then they understand how poor they’ve been all along, that they don’t actually have much that anybody else wants.

Which conservatives have been bitching about all along, not the GOP, I mean conservatives who know what the debt is doing to the nation, not some left of center RINO enlarging his retirement portfolio at the expense of the taxpayer.

In the US flash crash art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif of May 2010, bogus trading slipped the leash and a trillion dollars of notional market value vanished in minutes, and in the doing setting a new standard for downward volatility. They liked to call it “avoided transition”, a fancy way of saying no one trusted the other guy’s bookkeeping once the cosigner went missing. When bogus trades on bogus data can pump up the market for years, then slip utterly out of control in about the time of a commercial break, when the FAILURE IS NOW PERMITTED sign lit up but briefly, and it’s still long enough for the market to flash-crash, it suggests our black swan will be the truth, the simple truth. Said differently—reality.

And we all know, reality can be a bitch.

What will be our signature event? Like Rome, the aqueducts still stand but the era that built them is gone. Which suggests one event. Nations, like people, go broke secretly, then publicly and to all appearances, instantly. And we’ve been broke for a very long time. The decisive, irretrievable losses are like a corpse hidden in the ceiling, not yet acknowledged but more evident with every passing day. Perhaps our black swan will be the sheer speed of the closing act,

When the lights go out, it could be out for a very, very long time.

Panic is the rational response. Game theory favors the nimble, the first one to panic and run out the door wins. Sure he triggers a surge to the exits, but he still wins. Everybody else loses something, or a lot, or everything art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif. This is not esoteric knowledge. Expatriate applications are running ahead art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif of even last year’s record. Firearms and ammunition, grain and freeze-dried food, canning supplies, tactical gear and water purifying gadgets have been selling briskly for years now. Then there are the suburban survival gardens and chicken herds and on and on. Whatever else they’re doing, everyone seems to have their coat in one hand, their car keys in the other, and a bugout bag next to the door.
