Little Liberties At A Time…Sad.

Little Liberties At A Time…Sad.

How come an HOA has all of the sudden gained this much control? I understand certain aspects of the associations, but this is asinine!

A Nod to Drudge for the article.

FOX News -Denver mom Sarah Cohen says drawing sidewalk chalk art is one of her three-year-old daughter Emerson’s “simple pleasures in life.” “It’s definitely better than video games,” Cohen told KCNC. However, the homeowner’s association in Cohen’s neighborhood feels differently. They say Emerson’s drawings — usually of hearts and flowers — are distracting and offensive blights on their community.

“My initial reaction was, ‘You have to be kidding me,” Cohen said. The association, called Innovations and Courtyard Traditions at Stapleton, temporarily banned children from drawing on sidewalks, saying anything that offends, disturbs or interferes with the peaceful enjoyment is not allowed on shared spaces. They said neighbors have been complaining about chalk drawings like Emerson’s.
The group’s attorney told the station that the association is going down a path of “do no harm” and is temporarily banning the chalk art until it is discussed in depth at a later meeting. It will then be up to the residents to decide if the art will be permanently banned.
Cohen said she has not personally received any complaints from neighbors, and her daughter will continue to draw as a sort of mini protest against the temporary ban.

the economy.

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature
It is now official that the majority of you are corrupt morons:
a.. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years
to get it right and it is broke.
b.. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get
it right and it is broke.
c.. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it
right and it is broke.
d.. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right;
$1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the
poor” and they only want more..
e.. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years
to get it right and they are broke.
f.. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it
right and it is broke.
g.. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our  dependence
on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24
billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to
get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every “government service” you have shoved down
our throats while overspending our tax dollars. AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO
BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ??

Someone please tell me what the HELL’s wrong with all the people
 that  run this country!!!!!!
We’re “broke” & can’t help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans,  Homeless etc.,???????????
In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey ..
And now Pakistan ……..previous home of bin Laden. Literally,  BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a ‘fixed income’ receive no aid nor do they get any breaks.
FUCKING SAD!

Get In Line Or Get Sued

Get In Line Or Get Sued

With the lawsuit filed by the DOJ against Sherrif Joe now official, I think it is time for Congress to get official on Eric Holders ass.
One man does his job and does it very well, much to the chagrin of illegals and criminals in his county.
The other man is a complete and utter failure at his job. I say this because if you are the MMFIC of the United States Department of Justice, you are supposed to be demanding justice for everyone, but as you can see with Gibson Guitar, Fast and Furious, and now suing Sheriff Joe, he is only interested going after anyone that does not agree with the current administration. Is it a coincidence do you think that Arizona passed immigration reform, and Sherrif Joe found Obama’s birth certificate to be a forgery through his “Cold Case Posse” and is now under attack from the Obama regime, I think not.

This character flaw alone should get him fired, but the Fast and Furious debacle should get him prison time. This all goes back to Chicago style politics, and we as a nation had better remember that come November, or we will be in for far worse than what we have already witnessed, and if so, let the revolution begin.

The Justice Department announced Thursday that it has sued Arpaio, his office and Maricopa County for civil rights violations, including what it says is the long-standing racial profiling of Latinos.

“At its core, this is an abuse of power case involving Sheriff Arpaio and a sheriff’s office that disregarded the Constitution, ignored sound police practices and did not hesitate to retaliate against perceived critics in a variety of unlawful ways,” said Thomas E. Perez, assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, at a press conference in Phoenix where the lawsuit was filed.

A defiant Sheriff Joe Arpaio is preparing to tell President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder later today there is “no way” he will turn over the management of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to the Justice Department despite the threat of a federal lawsuit.

“Clean your own house, Eric Holder, before you come trying to clean mine,” Arpaio said today in a telephone interview with WND.

As WND has reported, the Justice Department has refused to produce evidence substantiating the allegations against Arpaio, insisting that the allegations themselves are sufficient to demand a remedy.

“It’s ironic, don’t you think,” Arpaio said, “that Eric Holder refuses to comply with congressional subpoenas to deliver to Congress the information about his management of the Justice Department, but the Justice Department has no hesitation to make public their complaints about me despite the fact those allegation have never been proved to be true?”

How Do You Change?

How Do You Change?

I have wondered how one person can effect change in Washington and have come to the firm conclusion it can’t be done. With all of the politics and the mother of all bureaucracies how can one individual, no matter how motivated get anything done, and I mean change that rattles the rafters. Politicians come in and most certainly are caught in the swamp of greed and self-importance, it’s just the nature of things in that town.

So I think an experiment should be tried by both houses and whoever is elected POTUS come November.

Since they can’t get anything done collectively, I say hire a temporary panel of the best economists the country has to offer. And I would model it after the Manhattan Project. If you are not familiar with the secret atomic bomb project Google it, you will get more info than me posting here. I assume most of you know what transpired. In short they developed an atomic weapon that ended World War II. Pretty important project, and the scientists were all under military rule to bring the weapon to fruition.
So, anywho, let’s say that we round-up the best of the best…with one mission…figure out a way to pay off the national debt in 10 years. Yep that’s right, TEN YEARS.
Now the kicker, in return for their efforts, they will be paid Ten Million Dollars to split amongst them after they come up with the program, basically one million for every year it takes to eliminate the debt. Now you probably think that spending 10 million would be more spending, well, not with the caveat that instead of raising corporation taxes and taxing the top 1%. The top business people in the country can pay for the reward. No taxpayer money goes towards the prize.

This panel would have as long as needed but under pressure to come up with something sooner than later, as the problem they are trying to overcome, may overcome them if it takes to long. No military cut’s will be allowed. It is the Washington bureaucracy that should bear the brunt of the decisions. Hell I would even give them 20 million, it would be that important.

Since Politicians can’t do it, take it out of their hands. They could not build an atomic bomb, so they brought in experts. They can’t fix the debt problem, so bring in experts…and reward them handsomely.

That’s all I have to say about that.
I tried to find hot economists, apparently they are camera shy, scientists will have to do for purposes of dressing up this post.

So you think the GSA gets to have all the fun?

District AG to sue former city workers for fraudulent jobless benefits
The District’s attorney general said Wednesday that he will sue former city employees who collected unemployment benefits while working.

Attorney General Irvin B. Nathan said his office will begin filing civil suits “in the next few weeks” to recover the city’s money. District officials have estimated that the city had paid as much as $800,000 in jobless benefits to working city employees since 2009.

This shit does not stop, it will go on and on and on. You can’t stop it. We are all boned.

If  Washington does not get a handle on this, the Revolution will begin, and it will not be pretty.

I Am Confused

I Am Confused

Surprised that I have not read this on a few other sites. Soylent Green posted it yesterday, the story linked to a sarcastic article from the Canada Free Press on the issue so I was a bit apprehensive on the actual order. With magic of the internet I was able to see that it was indeed true, but from what I am reading, industry leaders are happy about the order.

Maybe you guys can help me out on this one. More regulation and more federal agencies including the EPA are being tasked to by-pass state authority and regulate on their own. WTF?
If the way I am reading this is accurate, it is more Obama administration having the power to govern private industry. Which would lead me to beleive that the practice of fracking could and will be eliminated.

So what is it? A good or bad thing? Below is a list of agencies tasked with helping states regulate, and under it is a few links to articles praising the order.

  • the Department of Defense
  • the Department of the Interior
  • the Department of Agriculture
  • the Department of Commerce
  • the Department of Health and Human Services
  • the Department of Transportation
  • the Department of Energy
  • the Department of Homeland Security
  • the Environmental Protection Agency
  • the Council on Environmental Quality
  • the Office of Science and Technology Policy
  • the Office of Management and Budget
  • the National Economic Council

From The Hill: Industry groups welcomed President Obama’s executive order to coordinate federal oversight of natural-gas development Friday.
From Politico: The order creates a working group that includes various White House offices such as the Council on Environmental Quality and National Economic Council, as well as relevant cabinet departments and agencies like Interior, EPA and Department of Homeland Security.

$1.3 Million for $2 Billion Stimulized Unemployed

$1.3 Million for $2 Billion Stimulized Unemployed

Amazing our complacency of outright fraud.

Sometimes the stories write themselves.  Here are the facts…

  • A Colorado-based consulting, engineering and construction firm, named CH2M Hill, was awarded nearly $2 billion from the stimulus to perform cleanup work at the Hanford nuclear site.
  • The company used those funds to hire roughly 1,300 employees.
  • They then inflated the hiring numbers by using a Department of Energy metric known as “lives touched”, which allowed them to boast that the stimulus helped somehow helped or ‘touched’ three-and-a-half times as many people as they had actually employed.
  • When the stimulus funds ran out, so did the ability to support the jobs created or lives touched.  Roughly 1,500 employees were laid off.
The Department of Labor has awarded a $1.3 million National Emergency Grant to help laid-off Hanford workers find jobs.
The largest portion of the money will be used for retraining former Hanford workers who lost their jobs as federal economic stimulus spending at the nuclear reservation came to an end.
“This grant will serve as a safety net for workers and their families during these challenging economic times,” Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., said in a statement. Murray and Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., sent a letter to Hilda Solis, the secretary of labor, in February, requesting consideration of a state application for the grant.
The money will help an estimated 400 former Hanford workers seeking jobs, giving them intensive employment-related assistance, including training, to help them re-enter the work force in areas of the economy that are growing, according to the Department of Labor…
…  The grant is intended to provide money for workers laid off from DOE Hanford prime contractors CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Co. and Mission Support Alliance and more than 10 subcontractors…
“Workers formerly employed at the Hanford site are facing the challenge of finding jobs comparable to the ones they lost,” Solis said in a statement. “This federal grant aims to help lessen the negative impact of these layoffs.”

US Deaprtment Of Labor…Shamefull

US Deaprtment Of Labor…Shamefull

A Government agency that is supposed to be apolitical shows it’s true colors, pardon the pun. This women, Hilda Solis, has been appointed by the POTUS to run this department as an unbiased department head of a federal agency.
How does this feel? And NO kiss!|

President Barack Obama’s labor secretary, Hilda Solis, has authorized new posters in elevators throughout the Department of Labor’s Washington, D.C. headquarters building. The posters feature a photo of her marching in protest alongside the Rev. Jesse Jackson and MSNBC television host Rev. Al Sharpton, among others.

The photo depicts Solis acting as an emissary of the Obama administration protesting against Alabama’s strict new law combating illegal immigration. Solis has her arms locked with Sharpton, and Jackson is a few feet away. The poster also carries a message for federal government employees — who are traditionally expected to be apolitical in the performance of their duties.

“Whether we take to the streets or simply do our work with integrity and commitment here at the U.S. Department of Labor,” the poster reads, above Solis’ signature, “We are all marching toward the same goals: safer workplaces, fair pay, dignity on the job, secure retirement and opportunities to make a better life. I believe in the power of collective action.

 Collective action? For Who?

Obama’s $40.00 Savings for Middle Class

Obama’s $40.00 Savings for Middle Class

Remember back in December when Obama was blathering about the 40 dollars a week the republicans are prying away from the middle class if they did not pass the payroll tax cut? (Republicans wanted to pass the tax cut but democrats had an unemployment extension added in the package.)

Let’s assume you fill your tank once a week and the tank holds 30 gallons. The price of gas per gallon during that time was $3.30, it is now $4.70 per gallon depending where you live. So Obama’s payroll tax cut is wiped out by his disregard for gas prices, and we still get the unemployment extensions added to the national debt. HOW DID THAT FEEL?

4.70-3.30=1.40
